Smile My latest 944 Project!

Just picked this car up down in NJ.
Should be a good restoration car.

None the less. I need a few parts to get this project started.... Any one have the following parts?

1) DME Relay. I may buy new from NAPA locally for $26-
2) Cooling system Bleed screw, or the entire housing... However you sell it.
3) Steering wheel+ Horn Pad. (non airbag)
4) Center console trim. The plastic that holds center switches, and goes around the stereo. and a few blanks if you have them, I only have 3 switches.
5) Front Sway Bar metal mount. I need the U shaped Bracket that holds the Inner rubber, And the metal part that mounts to the Chassis.
6) Front LH bumper turn signal Housing. (Lens not needed)
7) Rubber Hose that Leaves the Top of the Airbox. About 1" in diameter.
8) Shift Boot inner rubber, and inner Plastic trim.

Thats it for now... There will be lots more soon enough!

Thanks, I hate to see them parted unless they have sustained bad unibody damage. None the less, I keep them going with the donor cars Help!

The NAPA DME relay price is pretty good.

That hose on the airbox you're looking for is not necessary; in fact, it was done away with entirely on later models. My car had the hose originally but I capped off the hole on the side of the airbox. It is just a vent for the belts...

looks like a good project. glad to see that you are saving the car. i hate parting cars as well but i do usually one every couple years. the last one i parted was an 88 RX-7. it had 66K original miles but was wrecked by the previous owner. the kid hit a ditch at what he claimed was 80mph, but from my experience in law enforcement and working crashes is that it was more like a 45-50mph crash. totaled the car and bent the floor up on the passenger side. i parted it and made good money but it was sad to see it come apart. i took a ton of pics because i'm weird like that.

i'd love to see more pics of your 944's restoration process and keep us updated on how everything goes!!

Ill tell you that im not happy to be parting my 924s, but the damage to the back of it really isn't worth fixing :P I would need to cut apart another car to fix it, and then no one would want to buy it due to "excessive" damage and the "unknowns". So its getting torn down. Ironicly i picked up a 944s and now i've got that learning curve!
