I bought a spare dash off of eBay for like $100 shipped to me... dropped it off at a buddy (does custom upholstery for private jets)with a couple hundred bucks, and in his spare time I got this back:

I also had him recover the upper and lower dash, glove box lid, steering wheel, the e-brake handle, the center console and arm rest lid, and he is working on the seats (again in his spare time).

The dash now has more of a modern feel and look that bends well with the rest of the car. It costs about $300 and takes a day to do.
Where did you get the kit from?

Here's one data point: I'm selling a black near-mint dash for $300: https://rennlist.com/forums/944-turb...-steering.html

Putting a man on the moon had a much bigger budget. Most people want to spend in the low hundreds and get an impervious flawless dash... It's too bad about these Porsches' bad dashes - old hondas and audis never get cracked dashes.

You may want to look at marine vinyl also. It's made to stand up to UV better and has good stretch.

I used it to recover a 944 arm rest and had very good results. Ebay sells all different kinds.

I was hopin to get 300 for my spare dash as well. Late non-airbag in black. It was out of a 944S. So there's another datapoint!

Just thought I should hop back in here.

The upholstery guy that did my early sport seats said he could do a leather recover and airbag delete for $375.

I will definitely report back when it is done!
