Quick tip for our readers; M1 has come out with their new 0w16,
supposed to save gas. i'd avoid using it--except maybe the used
stuff for storing our chainsaw blades over the winter. i don't even think
it would make a good choice as a winter oil for these cars.

Well, my 944S is coming back from the painiting place in the next week or two. So I guess I need to do all that deferred maintenance I didn't do because it' looked so bad including:

Timing and balance belt change. It's been a good 60k miles or so.
Repair the odometer (so I know when to change the belt)
Repair the AC (compressor has a bad valve in it, shakes the mounting bolts loose)
Repair the front sway bar bushings
Maybe repair the power steering after 20 years or so.

Stuff like that.
