what are you planning to do with your car this year (or next)?

made the first new critical part for my supercharger project in 4+ years.
its a throttle body mount/inlet to the blower.
the welds are good, but the part is too ugly to take a picture of...lol

I think I figured out a way, but probably should start another thread. It would involve adding another circuit to convert the 130 pulse/rev to 40 pulse/rev (multiply by 5 then divide by 13). Doable but I think adding the crank wheel is easier, but not plug and playable.

I am looking at a $20 solution....

But maybe you should talk with Ken, of PorKen fame? (liftbars.com) I just picked up some of his S300 chips for the 928 and they promise to be game changers.
I don't know if he's even willing to work on a 944 fuel map, but all the results so far suggest he's done pure miracles with the 928S3...
Watch this space for further announcements?

I suppose when my membership comes up for renewal next month I'll need to decline.
Where are the rest of you going? I'll stay if you will since it's really all of you, not the IB crowd, who make this site worth paying for. But if you're all leaving too, I'd sort of like to go with you, wherever that is?

You make a good point, I often had projects where I would DIY to save money and after the project it was obvious that I just should have spent the extra money and save all that headache. I will look into MS3.
What brought me to the Microsquirt or module was size. I wanted to fit everything in the space under the dash where the DME was.
Can an MS3 board fit in the space currently occupied by the DME?
The signal processing is straightforward, take the original sensors into the signal conditioner chip that Bosch uses in the DME (its still available and cheap).
Time the interval between the last 2 pulses, output a pulse train to emulate a wheel that MS2 can use. The board would be simple and if successful I'd make them available as kits. Parts cost well under $20.

Hi all,
Here's some more drama with the 944/968 rear hatch. I'm replacing the right side trim piece and rubber seal. I'm aware of the weird fasteners and the little plates that face the outside of the glass. Can anyone help me with what type of epoxy Porsche used, or the best aftermarket brand/type to use? I could use a super strong mix.........
Thanks! Adam

The old 20th Century urethanes used by Porsche in the 1980s aren't comparable to the advanced polymers used today.
There are 3 products that will work properly to repair, hold, and hold, and hold.....
Dow U-428, Dow U-428, and Dow U-428.

no uncertainty. no ambiguity. this is what the pro's use.
THE STUFF is so powerful you will be afraid.....
it will hold, then outlive you, your children, and your children's children.

bumping this up 1 year later...what's everybody up to?
RL has gone quiet with cool projects and builds in the last few years...mostly just "barn finds and restorations" now (small yawn).

Burning Brakes
This spring will be maintance (oil change, T-belt, violent and brake flush) and preventitive maintance (fuel lines, seat covers) hopefully there will be no surprises...but there are always surprises.
