Please tell me this build is also going to use wiggins clamps?

too much art there to muck it all up with sillycone boots and such!

Probably no wiggins clamps, but both Aluminum V-bands and a variation of the wiggins clamp by Vibrant Performance (Much cheaper). I used them on a previous build with great success holding up to 25 psi!

The cross over pipe is fully tacked together. I still need to add the waste gate, but I am not 100% certain where I want to place it. I have two locations in mind, but want to have the gate in hand before I finalize its location, but either way I plan to route the exhaust off of the gate back into the down pipe.
Next i'm going to work on the down pipe, but I need to order some more material before I can continue.

After taking a short break from the Porsche, I was finally able to get some parts in to make some forward progress. I spent the past two days completing the hot side.
I had two choices for the wastegate placement, one was similar to the stock location right after the header under the car, but I opted to mount it right before the turbo directly in-line with the flow of the exhaust. I then routed the wastegate exhaust back into the down pipe. I will add a slip joint bellow in between the gate and the down pipe so I don’t have any cracking issues, but it’s going to be two weeks before I can get one, as it is a special order item for that particular size.
The down pipe will mate up with an aftermarket 3.00” exhaust, but I am waiting for a set of drop motor mounts to arrive before I join the two together. The customer is dead set on running the exhaust all the way to the back of the car (not my choice). I am a little concerned with back pressure issues, but I guess we will address that problem later down the road!
Anyway, here are some pics of the progress.

Looks very cool, but how are you going to mount your brake master cylinder now?

With a Tilton pedal assembly that mounts under the dash.

Talent is talent, some people can paint, some can sing and some are masters of fabrication and speed....this is truly a thing of beauty....keep the motor **** and updates coming

A few updates. I haven't spent much time on this project lately as it has not been a pressing issue, but I am going to try and knock it out over the next 2-3 weeks In between some of the other projects.

I added a slip joint bellow between the wastegate exhaust pipe and the turbo down pipe to allow for expansion and contraction.

Radiator and Intercooler mounted.

Upper Intercooler Mount.

How did you decide on the inlet design and the runner length off the ITBs Craig?

Basically I took the length of one runner and multiplied by 2. This would be the volume required for one runner. So take that number and multiply by the number of runners (In this instance 4) and that gives you the plenum volume.
For example, if one runner equals 20 square inches, then I would need 40 square inches of volume for each runner. 40 times 4 gives you a plenum volume of 160 square inches.
This was my first attempt at an intake, so I spoke with some more experienced people in regards to plenum volume and design before I fabricated this one. I also had to take into account the area in which it had to fit in and hood clearance.

Regards,

were those numbers/ratios decided for mathematical simplicity or is there intake science behind the double-runner length * # of runners volume? specific RPM effect, etc

This is the science/theory shared to me by an extremely knowledgeable person on this subject. But being that this is a boosted application, it's no where near as sensitive to intake runner length as a naturally aspirated engine, so I have a little wiggle room (Hopefully)
I guess we will just have to wait and see of she performs on the dyno.
