Default Charity for the mentally challenged

Ok, it's important to note that I'm a belligerent idiot. Or at least I've recently made a very good argument to that point.

So, what I did: I magically broke my cam tower in the process of taking it off of my 951. In answer to the inevitable questions of how... I have no idea, all I can come up with is I erupted stupid all over it and it protested by breaking. It's by no means the first time I've taken one off, but it's the first time anything like that happened.

What I'm asking for: some charitable soul to have one spare that they would be willing to part with for very little. I know they're worth money, I just don't have any right now as I'm unemployed. I have little to offer except my eternal gratitude, and maybe a few items for trade... but nothing worth much.

Please let me know if you are willing or if you have any ideas of where one might be sourced (cheap).

I will be drowning my sorrows now...

Do you need just the box itself with no cam or cover?

Yep, just the box, everything else is intact.

Um, about a 4" by 2" section of the box on the passenger side by one of the bolt holes is no longer attached to the box and there's a crack running from there up to the "R" in Porsche. Again, I have no idea how that happened, but I'm pretty sure it qualifies as "broke"

It's always best to remove all of the bolts together at a few turns each. This releases valve spring pressure evenly and will prevent breaking a cam. Now the cam-box itself...that would be a trick to break. Don't know...don't want to know... how you did that.
For the record, I've done some stupid stuff to.

Oh, it's definitely not the first stupid thing I've done... If I were to document them all, I could probably rival fmylife.com...

I certainly don't want to wreck your plans... but I greatly appreciate your help. Let me know once you've had a look at it and I suppose we'll go from there.

thanks again.

Default YAY!!!

Problem solved! I found one locally for $50. So I'm back in business. Thank you all for your help and support in this trying time

P.S. the new box cam with an N/A cam in it... guy I got it from said that the guy he got it from said that it was an aftermarket cam with more aggressive profiles... I have nothing to compare it to so I have no Idea... either way, I don't need it so if anyone wants it I will let it go for the low low price of $0 just so that it doesn't go to waste and take up space in my garage.

thanks again to all of you

-Dave
