Another Steve (Xpit77) has suggested that we make our way up toward Frontenac Provincial Park from Kingston after lunch on the 30th -- there are some interesting twisty roads on the way with a lot of elevation change, and he's willing to lead the way.

Obviously, there's no shortage of interesting roads around here, so those of you with GPS or a keen sense of direction can head wherever you want from there. There's good ice cream in Westport, for instance.

That's too bad. Okay, we'll come up with something. Particularly if it's a nice day, we should go somewhere for some photos.

Kingston 944,
Good point. Haven`t been up there for a year.I do know that there was some construction going on a year ago on Desert Lake Rd and that pounds the heck out of it. Would have been fun though.
So, plan B, C or D.
B ) Perth Rd. / Cnty Rd 10 to Westport. 40 min one way. We could go up Foley Mountain to Althorpe Rd and return.
C ) Hwy 2 to Gananoque. Nice view of the 1000 Islands, a few twists and turns. Hit the Casino for a bit .Then the guys can get on the 401 to get home.
D ) No D, I like C..like Casino...like CASH !!

Well spoken Charlie.
There are some great spots on #2 to do some photo ops.
Good pavement as well and the 401 thing works too.

I vote for the Gananoque route. Mostly because it is in the right direction for me to get home.

Oh there`s a road crew in Kingston. You`ll see them on Bath Rd. in front of Frontenac Mall soon.....for the next year.
They`re replacing the bridge an all of the underground utilities. Down to two lanes.

So here is route I have planned.
Leave Raxx and get to the waterfront via Gardiners Rd south to Bath Rd. Turn right Then, proceed to Days Rd ( first light ) turn left to Front Rd / King St.follow it to the end ( Turn left ). Head east on King St. to the City centre. Along King you will have a great view. The wind farm on Wolfe Island, the Olympic harbour and a drum roll please...Kingston Pen. Keep going east on King past the Murney Tower and the Statue of Sir John A. then turn right at Centre St, it turns into Ontario St.. . Head east on Ontario past our new Arena and Fort Frontenac . Across the causeway ( Bridges ) through the Royal Military College. If you look to the right you`ll be able to see Old Fort Henry. Up the hill through CFB Kingston then it`s a straight run to Gananoque. There will be tons of signs in Gan. on how to get to the Casino. Gan ain`t that big.
Hows that sound ? Open to changes

Less than 2 weeks out! I better get my act together. The car needs a good spring cleaning, I ordered a replacement fog light lense for the broken one still on the car, and I have a nice set of drilled/slotted rotors and pads waiting for me to install. The brakes can wait if they have to, it won't stop me from attending...now a hail storm with hail the size of softballs (that fell in N Carolina this week) that would stop me....hehehe
