I just did it early in the spring. Easy and fast. Results are good considering my paint.

I got some time to clean up the car a bit tonight when I got home from work. I also found a package waiting at the front door...my replacement foglight lense! It came in a huge box, but at least this one wasn't broken! Yippie!! I installed it right away! Unfortunately it started to rain before I could finish and take it out to fill the tank, so that will have to wait for now. I'll be ready for the weekend for sure.
It was a good spring clean up. I feel like the car is ready for the driving season again.

The weather is looking promising!

Per Steve's suggestion, here's the route to the Casino in Gananoque (about 40 minutes away, mostly along Highway 2):

GOOGLE MAPS

I'll have some printed copies.

Date: April 30th, 2011
Meet location: Raxx Bar & Grill, 665 Development Dr, Kingston ON
Time: Cars should start rolling in from the West and East at around 10:30AM, lunch will be at 12:00 noon.
Fun run destination: OLG Casino Thousand Islands -- 380 Highway 2, Gananoque, Ontario K7G 2V4 (see map for location, but note that it isn't on a named road).

We'll probably want to stop at some point on the way and take some pictures, but I'm not sure where. I'm looking forward to meeting everyone!

I'm still in, the weather looks like it will be ok.

I'll be at the 5th wheel truck stop in Bowmanville at the Waverly rd exit (Mosport exit) We are meeting at 8am, and are leaving at 8:30am.

Come on out guys. We got to get started sometime if we want to organize a summer event! Come out even if you have to leave the 44 at home!

I'm in too. Got a chance to wash my car this evening, and borrowed a GPS. All set for the trip.
Looks like it is going to be sunny tomorrow.

Still coming.

Best I could do was a few sprays of some quick detailer.

See you all tomorrow.

I got as far as sanding to 1000 grit... Does that count as detailing?

See you tomorrow!

The Kingston mini meet was a great time. Nice to meet you guys and gal.Lots of car talk. Where did you get that it looks great ? Etc.
I`m sure some pics of these beautiful cars will be posted soon.
The cruise to Gananoque was fun. Couldn`t have been a better day weather wise, especially for the two Cabriolet`s, tops down, first time that I saw a Cab/ Targa.
For the ones who drove to the Casino but didn`t go in....the ones who hit the D.Q.instead. ( Gezz, didn`t that Mega burger you had at Raxx fill you up ? )
Sean and I went in for a " Personal break " before getting onto the 401 to return home. After that pit stop was done we both agreed to put a $20 in the slots before leaving. One way or the other we go home if we win on or lose on the first $20. He hit for $80 after three pulls. I hit for $65 after about 9 pulls. Cash out !
That covered our lunch and fuel. Sorry charities, no $ from us today but, I did stop at the Beer store on the way home.
Ah..the Lord giveith, the Lord takeith away.
Saw some great looking cars and had a great time.
Thanks,
Steve and Sean
