I'd love to get together on the 30th. I was, however, hoping we could get together in the summer months some time. Perhaps when we meet on the 30th we can plan a summer get together as well. We could even do a fun run in Prince Edward County and stop in at the many wineries they have in the area. There are a few good twisty roads up in that area as well. Just a thought. Open to suggestions.

have to roll the blanket back and put in battery, plugs and new rubber soon. My first post-winter start-up, so I'm expecting the worst. April for GTA area would preferable.

Went out for a drive to the Hamilton area yesterday to have my car aligned and hit Rattlesnake Point on the way home, a bit dusty which lead to some nice controlled drifts!
Really looking forward to a 944 meet, I'd love to see some nice cars for inspiration!

Ok by my count, I see 5 "yes's" for April 30th.
2 counts for GTA area meet
5 counts for Kingston Area meet.
Looks like 2 (including myself are ok with either location).
Chime in guys.
Are we shooting for April 30th?
Kingston or Toronto GTA area?
I recommend starting with a simple meet/greet/lunch. Try to get as many out as possible at least to get things going. It will take a bit of a push to get ourselves out to a small event, but could work out really well for a future event.
I understand being hesitant of making a 1-3hr drive for a simple lunch with a bunch of strangers who happen to all own a similar car to ours, but it is only a small risk of NOT having a good time. The chances of making this into something much better outweight the risk of the first event being less than stellar (when compared to highly organized car events) We have to start somewhere.
We can organize a warmer summer fun run once we find out who will actually attend something that we can agree on. I think for the summer, maybe we can setup a mini weekend to make it worth while for the folks traveling a bit further.

I am still in for the 30th in Kingston area. I would think at least one other from Montreal could be coerced as the date approaches. What about Ottawa people?
Once we are together a small drive would be fun. Must be some area roads we can check out after eats.

I'm less enthused about the Kingston meet as my car isn't much of a long distance tourer, but I'd still probably go. I'll officially vote for a GTA meet, but will most likely do either location.
Just want to see some nice 944's!

This may be a little selfish, but I think we should meet in Kingston. Being a member of PCA, I have never gone to an event because they are always in the GTA or the fun runs are in the Niagara area or north to the Muskokas. Great destinations all, but lets do something down this way! I do plan to attend the DE event this year in Shanonville however, which is only 40 mins west of Kingston.
So 944 meet in Kingston on April 30th then?

I'm in for the 30th still. Kingston is fine with me. We just need a time and a location.
I have asked some of the kingston area folks to source an area with decent parking that won't cause a traffic jam if we hang around the cars. ie NOT a Timmies parking lot.
We also need a place we can have lunch for approx 10 people, and they need some warning so they don't freak out when a large group shows up at once. Some of us will be driving a while. I'm two hours away, so I'd have to leave by 8am at the latest to make a 10am meet. Montreal folks have about 3hrs, so meeting too early won't work well. We should try to meet for 10am ish, lunch by 11-12.
After lunch, we could do a short fun run to somewhere nearby for a nice photo shoot.
Sound good so far?![cherrsagai](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/drink.gif)
