Ok, now that I'm done laughing...

Maybe bring a come along (or two) if you have to pull it onto the trailer. Seems to me like that would be a lot easier than trying to push it onto a trailer.

Got pics in today from my friend. The crossmemeber is there but the spindles aren't complete and has no front brakes. A little more work to be done. Are the turbo hubs the same as the N/A hubs? I can do a brake upgrade later before she goes back on the road. Also I am a little dissapointed with the condition of the seats. Other than that, I can't wait to get home and start working on it.

I've decided it's going to get a 4.8/5.3 LSx motor right now and hopefully down the line find a 5.3 aluminium block.

I need to price 86 turbo hubs and a turbo radiator.

Anyone have any these? I need to get some prices.

Cool to see another V8 swap coming together. Hubs are different.

Are you going to tow it with the M916?

I did some research on the hubs. Thinking I might have to pick up some early model used spindles that are complete just to get it to roll onto the trailer.

The M916 would have the winch to pull it on the trailer and no trouble pulling it. It also wouldn't have a problem pulling the car in half. Actually I'll either be pulling my buddies trailer with either my 98 4runner or a 99 F150. Kind of dependant on whether I am picking anything else up, i.e. motor, while I am down there

Wes glad to hear. I would just bite the bullet now and get turbo spindles. That way you only have to buy parts once. There is a guy in KC parting out his 86 turbo. PM me if you need some parts.

it's a big trip but we've driven further for worse. still a great deal.

no one around that can loan you a front end? make sure you take LOTS of bolts...you'll end up needing the one you left behind.
