Default 968 Front Bumper on 944?

Hey guys I was wondering if any one has ever installed a 968 fiberglass front bumper on a 944 while still keeping the rest of the 944 look? Just curious on how it will look, I know there's not much difference except for the turn/fog lights. If some one could photoshop one I would appreciate it, I'm lazy

Thanks!

i believe you'll need to mod the front of the tub and run all pieces... (inner and outer fender pieces, lower windscreen panel and hood).... there was also a fibreglass variant of the 968 body available a few years ago !! i saw the kit installed on a 924 in bright yellow. the result was rather, cartoon-like.

searching for the photos.

not sure if this is part of that car or not. i'll keep looking.

honestly between a 951/S2 there isn't much of a style difference, I know the mounting points are way different but the main difference in style is the fog/turn signal area.. the bottom vent is very simular and even the one above the license plate is close enough that it doesn't yield a huge difference in style.

I've been thinking of getting a fiberglass 968 bumper and modding it to fit the 951 but I just don't see it worth it. I might just do a front end conversion with stationary custom projector lights and a fiberglass rear bumper from IFC.

Buy a 968. It's been looked into. User MPD47 posted details on what it would take in one of his threads. Issues with the front structure and mounting locations for fenders was a big issue.

one thing i don't like about the 968 is the fender flares seem to be softer than the 951 and I think it takes away from the widebody look.

I just have modding issues thats all... I'm use to a car where I can modd the heck out of the body with fiberglass and honestly I see this car and I know I shouldn't touch it lol. I'm having withdrawls lol, maybe if I just get a fiberglass hood, fenders, and rear bumper I'll be ok

from a quick glance, the 968 Fenders, Hood and Headlights, nose panel and bumper cover are ALL different than the 951/S2. Can it be done? Sure.. Wow.. you've gone from thinking about selling to full on modding in what, 1 week? enjoy!

Cyclone, as the previous posters are saying, just get a 968. have to be honest; my original post was going to be, "front 968 bumper on 968..." and i would have left it at that. but i didn't want to post anything sarcastic. you'll basically need to attach the entire front section off a 968 tub in order to accomplish such a feat..... i believe this may be one the reason the 968 body kit for the 924 was so cartoonlike after the complete install. otherwise--anything can be done. just get ready to do a ton of welding.

Question

[QUOTE=CyCloNe!;8350878]___honestly between a 951/S2 there isn't much of a style difference___, I know the mounting points are way different but____ the main difference in style is the fog/turn signal area.. the bottom vent is very simular and even the one above the license plate is close enough that it doesn't yield a huge difference in style.____Once again open your eyes very wide & tell me the difference between a 951 & S2 front fascia (NONE) same fog turn signal, maybe my old eyes are going on the blink but I'm not able to discern the bottom vent difference neither. In fact if you do a little research you'll learn that Porsche when producing the S2 gave it the same body and suspension as the 220 hp 951___ 1- 951 row hence the amber ligths -___2- 944S2

Don't want to flame you but if you don't like the fender flares of the 968 ,why would you go in such a time consuming & spending money project.
