Cant seem to upload a pic on here....but trust me I am telling the truth

Car is a 1986 grey 951 maroon interior (not my first choice but it came with it haha) I actually posted an add on Kijiji looking for a P car and the seller contacted me! He just picked up a 2010 911 so he didn't want two porsche's.

Damn, I thought I made the right move quitting crack and buying a 951.

Congratulations, and welcome.

I bought my one owner car for $4300 with absolutely no records, site unseen off of eBay. Been the best car purchase ever (well about equal to my 928 purchase! ). I have had to replace some things, and found out quickly that I couldn't count on a shop to do the work, even the local Porsche only shop (due to a douchebag, thieving shop owner ). Anyway, it's a machine, put together with nuts, bolts, and parts just like any other car. OK, maybe the parts are a bit more expensive. I wouldn't trade owning my 951 for any newer car! I use mine as a daily driver, and every time I romp it to the floor, my love for it is renewed, no matter the cost or length of time to make the latest repairs/maintenance!!!!!

NOW, PICS!!!!

membership is the best stuff money can buy, literally, since there's always cool stuff for sale...

and then there's the OT, P&C, the Abyss, etc... https://rennlist.com/forums/the-abyss-106/

I just bought a 951 as well. sign up at flickr.com and upload the photos there, then use the link to post them. I usually go to the photo and click the share button above the picture and go to the bbcode option. I think pick the pic url out of there to paste into the image tag in the post.

I figured the cheap part of the 951 would be the rennlist membership. I have already been helped today! I chose to save a 951 that wasn't in the best condition since I really don't plan on ever selling it. If there ever comes a time that I can't drive it. I will just sit and look at it.

The cool thing about it is that I can daily it (when it is not down). 5 dollars a gallon is right around the corner, the 951 seemed the logical choice for a sports car right now. I had been looking at Fcars but just don't think I would enjoy one as much as a 951. I can also go out in a couple of months and buy an '84 911 coupe and have both for a lot less money than an a similar year Fcar (thats with doing all my own work as well).

It is my 4th 944 but first turbo car I have ever owned. I actually love the turbo lag, I love the feeling of the boost spooling up and hitting.

get an OLD 928, you will put your mechanic's children thru college .

some guys are on their 3rd tranny, engine, and 2nd $1100 radiator.

And of course they all have to have Mich P/S tires @ $1800 every 8k miles

928 V8 will get you about 12mpg in city and nobody like to work on them including Porsche certified.

even S2000 early models are bending valves these days.

951 is "poor mans Porsche" the haters will say to you every time, even as you pass 928's, 968's, 911na, Boxster S, etc

If you don't plan to restore it, better drive it lightly on weekends only and cross your fingers.

Got 2 pay 2 play in this arena.
