Default Free Carfax deal right now?

I have seen deals from time to time for free Carfax history reports. You usually have to register to a website and provide an email address or something like that. Does anyone know of one of these going on right now?

Maybe we could use this thread to announce these kind of deals whenever they arise.

I am currently researching the history of my '86 951 (PM for VIN) in depth and a Carfax would be vital to this process and it would be awesome to see!!!

Thanks!

That'd be great to have a thread for when they have a free deal. I only have a partial carfax that the PO had. It ends around 2002.

JOKA, there are actually deals out there that are offered by people (websites, etc) that you can use to get a free carfax report. You have to do something in return like sign-up with an email address, for example. I'm not talking about breaking any rules or TOS. Thanks, Mr. Rennlist Sheriff.
A carfax is like $40, so it's a bit pricey for someone who only wants to use it out of curiosity.

But if someone with an unlimited account wants to help me out, I wouldn't mind. JK!! (sort of)
edit: thanks flatsix

I PMed you back, sorry I missed that last night. I ran it and I'll email it over to you if you'd like. Just PM me your email address.

I'm scared to see the report. I'm fairly sure my PO had the car at the bottom of a lake for a week or two

Some things are better off not known. Running a Carfax on a 944 is like asking your woman how many guys she's been with, there's no good answer to get and you're not going to believe whatever you find out.

Just wanted to let everyone know that I'm out of available Carfax reports to run. Sorry if I didn't get a chance to run yours.
