How rare is this, and should I keep it until "one day" or sell it now?

How rare is this, and should I keep it until "one day" or sell it now?
Hey guys,
I hope you don't mind me posting this here. I'm not selling anything, but I'm trying to get an idea of "worth."
I had a 1984 Porsche 944 that I completely re-worked. Short of repainting it, and rebuilding the engine or transmission, I pretty much did everything else. I replaced every nut, screw, and bolt in the interior, replaced every component in the engine bay, blah blah. Long story short, my daughter was born, and I wanted to focus on my priorities so I sold my 944 after having it for only a year.
(Whole rebuild page here: http://www.pontiacperformance.net/car84Porsche944.html)
In any case... I found what appeared to be a Euro-Spec 944 in the junkyard during one of my visits, so I grabbed the front bumper. (The rear bumper appeared to be otherwise normal). I remembered reading somewhere on here way back when that I also needed the bumper's gas shocks... so I took those too.
I DO plan one day to get another 944 when I have more time and I'm finished with school. However, I could use the cash to help pay for that last little bit of college debt. I was thinking of selling the Porsche bumper, but then wondered if I shouldn't just keep it. The thing is, when I do a search for "Euro 944 Bumper" I get pictures of some weirdly shaped 944 fiberglass bumper. The one I have looks totally like the normal 944 bumper, BUT... in addition to the turn signals, it also has clear fog-lamps just to the inside of the turn signals with a small rubber seperator between the two. And then of course, the small squareish bumper pad thing near the middle.
It doesn't look like any of the other euro bumpers that I've seen (which all appear to be fiberglass). Mine is all aluminum, like the US ones.
What year / region could this one be from that I have? Sorry I don't have a picture... it's in the attic.
Thanks!
Todd

those were available damn near everywhere BUT here. they're desirable (although I don't know what current market would be) because shipping from the EU is murder.
The rear bumper, if real, would have had a thin horizontal strip across its entire width instead of the two big pads. the bumpers also sit a lot closer to the body than the US spec parts, and shouldn't have hydraulic shocks at either end. They fit from 83-89 944 OR 924 only--different end contours. The lights and overriders (the frames) are more valuable than the bumper itself.
It sounds like the car was federalized, and re-modified (my mom's '79 SC has a lot of that going on) or someone paid the freight for the front bumper. Did you happen to grab the VIN? It would have started with WPOZZ.
Here's a UK eBay link to a car with those bumpers: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1985-Porsche-9...item56420cb071
As to keeping it or not, it depends on if you like it AND plan on buying another NA 944. I wanted one of those forever (and even have an NOS one for the 924) but then I bought the turbo...now I could care less. It really makes the front of the car look better, though--I love it. It's the 944 as intended.

But I don't think that's the one I have either. It's VERY close... the difference is that mine isn't made of fiberglass, mine is made of aluminum JUST like the normal US one. Plus, it sits at the same location / ditance as he stock one. As a matter of fact, it is basically identical to the stock one, except the aluminum bumper is molded for the fog lamp next to the turn signal.
I know this isn't any kind of "custom" fabricated bumper... I'll try to see if I can take some pictures later tonight after dinner and post it. My Pontiac Fiero is in the way, but I'll see if I can get the ladder down! hah...

Hey! Weren't you that guy that was doing the 944 conversion to work with the Ford Focus MAF to replace the AFM barn door air meter?
That's interesting about the Saudi Arabian cars... I would guess that the fiberglass one is probably better, but this bumper has kind of grown on me... I think I'm going to have to keep it...

That's the ROW bumper missing the overriders, or it's a hacked up US bumper. ROW bumpers have additional strips cast into them to hold the lights...how are yours mounted?
ALL 944 bumpers are aluminum. The overriders are injection molded plastic.
The pneumatic struts (and therefore the spacing away from the hood) is US/Canada specific. Here are the ROW pieces: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PORSCHE-944-92...item230ab326da
And it really, really is supposed to look like this everywhere else. Here's one from Germany:

I know it's not a hacked up US bumper because it's actually molded, and not "cut."
I'll take some pictures. The one in that picture looks like it might be missing the rubber seprator pieces between the turn signal and the fog lamps. It's basically a small bumper strip piece that sits between the turn signal and fog lamp.
