Question a little piece of Ford???

I am installing a test pipe on my car this weekend and fell i probably need a new o2 sensor. The car seems to be running a little rich and I believe this may be the answer? The only problem being paying 130$ for the sensor? A guy at work told me that an old 40$ Taurs one would work? Any truth to this? Any one know what year? Thanks.

Yes there is a Ford three wire one that will bolt right in, atleast on the 944 it does. Go to your FLAP and ahve them cross reference the universal replacement for the 924 with other model numbers.

Good Luck!

Just having fun....

You can use a Bosch universal 3-wire O2-sensor #003913. Or one from an '89 Ford Taurus FI 2.5 ltr. In either case, you'll need to hack off the connector and splice it in with your existing one to plug into the harness.

I got a universal Bosch O2 sensor for 25 beans. Normally cost 35. Only thing is it only had one wire for the connection. Is that because mine is an '83 944?
