There is lots of different management systems out there from $500 - $5K but whichever one you choose it would be based on what your using the engine for and how you want to run the motor with a certain setup?
There is literally 100's of different variations and possible outcomes to every build. Talk to Pete at RS Barn he has built 3 liter mostly stock internal 968 engines with factory wiring just adds, cams, ported flowed head, computer chip, intake system, and exhaust I believe he gets around 275 HP + from these setups and there is nothing too extraordinary to make or tune so you dont run into huge $$$$$$ bills. Any larger #'s and you start needing better pistons, rods, oiling, valvetrain, etc...

When you put a 275HP NA 16 valve 3 liter into a lightweight race car that weighs 2500lbs it goes faster than most cars around track and unless your are a professional race car driver you will not need a bigger motor EVER.

Very nice build.

I'm curious about how much weight was removed from the overall reciprocating assembly?

Also I'd love to hear it at 7500 rpms

Michael Mount started this thread; didn't pete at rsb use Michael Mount to develop these pieces? I didn't know rsb had a dyno . . . I'd just go direct to Michael Mount and eliminate the middleman.

I remember seeing Michael run his 924GTR at a few club races in the late 90's, maybe early 00's - That car is the most beautiful vehicle and wicked fast for the time. I have wanted to build one since. He was using a S2 motor at the time, as discussed in the tread. I hope he still runs that car from time to time as I would love to see it again.

Is this the same Michael Mount the use to run in the Potomac region at Summit point ? If so I just had a major time warp !!! Holy Cow.....
If so he was a very nice guy ...
Funny story to follow if it's him ...
Best regards

Unless all the other lightweight race cars in your class that weigh 2500lbs have 350HP...then your screwed...

I'm gonna guess close to 15k with proper fuel management set up for the street.
