Default 928 vs 968 street appeal

Question for mostly 944 owners but anyone is welcome to chime in. Just judging on curb appeal, which car do you think looks better on the street if you could have your choice of color and wheel setup.

968 Convetible - IMO one of the most beautiful convertibles ever produced (close 2nd is the 944 Cabrio)

--or--

928 (pick your favorite vintage) with modern wheels

I'm a bit partial to my 79:

i think the 928gts has the most street appeal but due to my experiance with the 944 chassis, a 968 cab looks like a very tempting "next porsche"

im sorry but theres no way i can see the hunchback 944/968 cab as attractive...with the top down its downright ugly...top up its good for a cab but that defeats the purpose of a convertible

I have an '84, '87, and '90 944 cabriolet. Also '81 and '86.5 928. They coups are nice cars but not exceptionally flashy. The 928's look like business, and the cabriolet looks like rolling sex. Side by side I still have to say the 928's look best. (biased opinion)

I have a 1985 944 which I am trying to replace. I wanted a 968 coupe at first (I don't want a convertible for a number of reasons), but they are hard to find in CA and are no cheaper than a 928 S4. My love of 928s goes back further, so I am putting a deal together to buy a 928 S4 in the next day or two. I think the 928 has the edge in curb appeal; the 968 is hampered by that same old big glass hatch from the 80s 944 series.

928S4 - It just looks right and incredibly modern for a shape that first appeared in the late 70s. The 968 looks gawky and a bit cross-eyed to me. The angles of the 944-based body shell (e.g the flared rear arches) don't gel well with the rounded 968 front end.
Give me a 944S2 any day....oh wait...I've already got one lol

My 2 cents

I've just never liked the 968 look.
The 928 wins for me.

951/S2 > 968 > 928 > Cab Anything

I can't stand the headlights on a 968/928 and Cabrio's are for girls and ugly.
