Default Ezcarlift

Anyone here seen or used this lift before? I've been in search for a small car lift for awhile now and I think I finally found the one that fits perfectly in my two car garage.

http://ezcarlift.com/ezcarlift_video.html watch the video. Interesting.

There's also a group buy I'm considering joining.
I hear the first round they had 60 buyers.

Seems spensive for what it is. A full blown lift isn't that much more, is it?

My garage is a regular two car garage. A full size lift takes too much space. I really like the optional wheels where you can move the car around while still on the lift.

I've been debating for the last month whether to buy this or not. Now I see a group buy it's even better.

For anyone with limited space, the maxjax looks like a viable option.

I can use it as a picnic table?!?!??!

SOLD!

:-)))

Though, I wish it could handle more weight. This could work for the 944, but not the Yukon.

I don't know about the Maxjax. I see the drop in anchors getting all full of crap when not in use. Though, that might be avoided by using a second second set of flatter head bolts when the jacks are not in use.

I would rather have a bendpac scissors lift that will go to 48" than that thing.

I'm installing my new MaxJax today actually - pictures coming...

I intend on just leaving the bolts in when not in use until I can find some kind of plastic or rubber fitting that will work to cover the anchor holes. It's not a big deal...

US$1450 + shipping:
http://www.eagleequip.com/page/EE/PROD/IOS/MTP-9F

113" overall height, but thats just the two posts, so worst case you make cutouts in the ceiling. Its not like you need to modify the porsche...

This is another option but cost a little more.

Problem with two post lifts is that for "home" use, many garages have uneven (varying thickness of concrete) Many garages are "quickly" poured with NO thought of installing specialized lifting equipment, that requires very specific thickness and quality of concrete. 4 posts though space hogs, are much safer for home use.

Before installing a two post, ensure you KNOW how thick your floor is. Not all floors are created equal. It is a lot of weight to be placed on approximately two square feet of floor. Not just the weight, but the torquing/lever forces of a hoist that is "trying to tip over" (fore/aft) with a 3000lb car 4+ft off the ground.

Be safe guys!

ZR8ED - I've always wondered about this. What if a load spreader plate was used at the base? Say a nice piece of 1/4" steel plate thats like 4ftX4ft? Wonder what the minimum thickness is...
