Default FS: 968 w./ damage for $5K

This isn't mine, but offer him $3K for it, sees what happens and get it fixed. Pretty car with only 49K miles on it.

It is worth that in parts alone!

Sorry, I didn't check the 968 forum. I didn't mean to repost.

Sent him an email and looks like it is still available. See his response below.

It is about 45 minutes from me. May take a drive on the weekend to look.

Louis are you considering something here?

EMAIL RESPONSE------->

Mark,

It'll probably need to be put on a frame machine to have it checked, and pulled. None of the body seams are off, and the hatch still opens and closes - so I suspect the frame should be o.k.

It is all stock

The only records I have are for the work I carried out - timing belt, balance shaft belt, rollers, water pump, variocam feet, etc.

Make me an offer - but not below 4500.

Mark,

The thought has crossed my mind, since it so close to home I was thinking there could be a lot of useful up-grade parts. Depending what he wants for it of course. Defiantly worth the drive I think. Not to far from home, less then 2 hours away. If it's still there next week, (or maybe later this week when I get home) I might go for a drive and have a look.

You might have a hard time moving those parts for what you say they are worth.

i know what it's going to cost to rebuild my transmission. and the thought is very unnerving.

so, i wouldn't be selling that item. the engine w/ only 50 k miles would then wait for someone with the sense to pay a fair price for it.

or maybe even use it myself. i still like the sleepy 3.0 engine somewhat.

even though you have to beat the crap out of it (4000 rpm) just to go 100 miles per hour.
