Default Anybody have an AC delete bracket I can borrow?

Unusual, I know, but wondering if anyone has an aftermarket (the machined type) AC delete bracket not currently being used that I could borrow. I only need to trace it basically to modify as I am making a new bracket for my AC compressor. Basically I could ship it back the same day I get it.

I'll cover shipping both ways.

So you want to copy a part that someone else took the time to engineer so you can make your own cheaper version?

not for the same purpose. as i said, this is for hanging my ac compressor down low. i just want the general shape and the bolt hole location, is difficult to do with the stock ac bracket. am relocating alternator.

Not affiliated directly, just throwing this out there but this is what we've been installing for a/c delete and also replacing other style brackets with when they fail during track use.

Luckily this vendor was on site when one of my friends broke one of those ebay look brackets, saving his weekend.

It's even cheaper than most you'll find at $145, with belt and bolts.

Haven't seen a lighter bracket out there anywhere and it's track tested in our local series of around 15 944s of all variations,

CNC'ed from billet,

You should see the rest of the stuff they have coming.

A couple of their parts may be showing up at site sponsor vendors soon (pending) so it's too early to say much.

But you can buy the a/c delete straight from the source for now.

Not just some BS piece sketched out on a napkin or a boxed intersected hanger but computer aided, minimalistic design that's has supporting stress testing and still looks good.

I have seen various brackets fail and I'm not easily impressed but I'm installing one of these on my son's SP2 car tonight.

How's the GT wing coming...?

I dry fitted it the other day and it looks great. Taller than I thought but there will be not problem with it getting "clean air"

Yep,

Very Knowledgeable guys, Stopped by the shop last weekend while Terry was helping drop in my engine.

Too bad the A-arms they are coming out with won't be ready for a few months, now would be the perfect time. Will post up when have them in hand.

Very nice stuff coming our way.

to live in riverside without AC would be worse than lost in the middle of California Condo HELL looking to pick up your dream date without GPS,

just prior to her discovering you have no AC.

I was also looking for the lightest of the lightest - and I bought this AC delete kit

its not as expensive as others, and it fits great, and it IS light, and yeah I heard they got some cool stuff getting made for our cars (though not clear for which models, lol)

I could maybe take some measurements for you if you want me to, 'cause shipping to CA and back would take like 2 weeks, I'm sure you'll find someone closer ...

LOLZ, average temp for Aug. 77.6deg F.

That's "blustery" down here in the tropics.

Try -0- wind and 90% humidity on for size....

LOL, we just did a six hour enduro at 101F, high humidity, 120F in the car in 2 layer nomex and full race gear..., no a/c...

There comes a time you have to decide....street or race/de.

Usually cars progress from street/DE and shed stuff along the way to a full fledged race car.

If I had no aspirations to race at all, I guess I'd leave the car totally intact and just deal with the weight on track days.

Did the DE scene for a couple of years in a full weight '87 944T, a stripped NA is much more fun and could probably demolish the heavy turbo car around most reasonable circuits.

I'm 5 seconds faster around our local track in the NA and the turbo car was even modified.
