manning,

your right, you did go right over my head. I didn't read into what you said, but after reading over it, I got it. I have never been that great of a history fan, esp of euro history.

I always seemed to fall asleep in my history classes. <img src="graemlins/sleep.gif" border="0" alt="[sleep]" />

Yeah, I fell asleep in history class a lot when I was in high school (being a huge stoner didn't help). Then, when I started going to art school I started to realize how intertwined history and art and everything is.

Being from the South encouraged me to closely examine history as a way of throwing the whole racism/racist southerner thing back in northerner faces. I know that sounds really idiotic, but when I moved up north I got really tired really fast of people saying (I am not making this up) "Oh, you lived in Georgia, it is really racist down south isn't it?" What!?

I know that seemed like a (way off topic) segue. Sorry about that.

I'm not going to lie, I hate the south. I was born and raised here in the south, and I'm so really to get out. <img src="graemlins/crying.gif" border="0" alt="[crying]" /> one more year, RIT here I come.

most people down here in, "the heart of darkness", don't know much about what happened here with all the racism crap. but I have tried to learn all I can about it, it is really neat to be able to go down the road and see were history was made. I don't have to go across that big pond to see were events took place.

ok, this is crazy, I'm done, I don't have a clue how we went from porsche's new SUV to civil rights, this is crazy and not the place for this.
later, I'm going to sleep <img src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" border="0" alt="[cheers]" /> <img src="graemlins/sleep.gif" border="0" alt="[sleep]" />
