Default What's the best oil for a 944 Turbo

I've used to use Kendall 20/50 and Redline 75/90 ns for the transaxel on my 911 but wasn't sure with this 944 Turbo I just bought with 168k on it.

Thanks,

Bill

20w50 is fine for the summer, especially if you track it. If you are just DD the car and in the cold, Rotella 15w40.

For a car with 168k and original seals (?) ... Kendall 20w50 is a good choice.

Change to 10w40 for the winter months, if you have a real winter...

And take me with you.

I use Brad Penn 20w-50 in the summer.

Edit: I've decided my standard answer to this oft repeated question will always be to simply state what I'm using. I did my homework, I made my decision and the person who inquires can either choose to use what I'm using or do their own homework.

Ive used Shell Rotella and Red Line. Also Castrol GTX. I will probably stick with Rotella. I might try Brad Penn too.

I dont/wont use Mobil 1 unless its an emergency.

So... I should stop running my 90 weight lube in the engine?

But it ALWAYS keeps my oil pressure at 5 bar!

Should I switch to Crisco, or how about peanut oil?

Catchy name!

My biggest motor oil challenge is my wife's Mercedes GL320CDI. There is ONE motor oil generally available in the US for these clean diesels. I'd love to find an alternative (if it's cheaper).
