Default Can i run 2.5 T head on an S2 block?

Broke the tensioner on my s2 today, the chain broke, ruined camshaft, hole in the head and bla bla,,, valves are fubar

So the question is, without much modifacation,

I have a turbo motor in parts, can i put the head on a 3 liter block and run the original turbo setup with the turbo ecu? And can i build it in three days

And what are people doing to fix that, since 90% of 3 liter turbo's run 8v head

Don't most just use a 2.7L 8V NA head that bolts up with the 3.0L block? I may be wrong. Otherwise there's welding and machining required to mate up the 2.5 head cooling elbow.

i already have one tricked out for my turbo build,,, i'm having issues about stealing it from that project...

People have been using 2.5 heads as they are cheaper and easier to get...

Just wondering, what is done to the 2.5 to make it work.... which port to weld and so on,,,

Probably gonna tear the top of my S2 motor tomorow to see the difference,, sucks thou, the S2 head was freshly rebuilt, the part where the tensioner system is bolted on broke and basicly destroyed everything else at the same time...

Fix the S2 head. There was a write up by a lister in Germany I believe (do not remember his name) that had a video showing him welding up the cracked chain tensioner mount and then machining it back to life. Very informative.
