Default Cutting down the AOS

If I were to cut the filler neck off the AOS at the red line in my attached picture, what could I use to close it off? Do you think a simple vacuum cap (those rubber stretchy types) and a hose clamp would suffice?

I need some space back there for an A/W intercooler that is quite large. I would be filling the oil through one of the cam tower plugs.

why not just delete the AOS and replace it with this

and mount it where ever you want

All oil catch cans are kinda generic and can be used on any vehicle.
I had this one on my 944.

the provent is much more than just a catch can. they are used on supercharged 928s to aid in breather problems and 2/6 bearing failure when cornering.

of course it would fit a 944 just have to make sure its hooked up properly
