You need more boost cap'n!
7psi is nothing for a car 951 pistons...
the 951 stock came with 11-12psi...
I'd at least crank it up to there...

What kind of SC is it?
I would assume either huntley or SFR could hook you up...depending on the kind of SC you're using.

If you're going to be running more than 5-7psi, I'd say you definitely need an intercooler too.

Hey space,
Try calling, SFR is or has moved and Tim has a new email, so maybe your timing was just bad. They answered all e-mails from me, quickly and informatively...

Why not just run 5psi with an intercooler, take care of fuel/timing and leave the rest of the engine alone? Just curious.

they pulley is taken care of now...i have a company that will make me one (knock on wood) for like 85 bucks.....12 psi.... ...i think im going to look at a rebuild on the SC so it can go higher boost then 12.....

5 psi with 8:1 compression..i think it will give me like a 30 % increase..not much of a corvette killer....and if those pistons will handle tons of power then i want it....

i do have tubo s fuel equipment so fuel is going to be good and my AFC should allow me to fine tune it and my MSD 6btm will allow me to full with the timing....so why not get more power with it....

oh im also going to have nitrous on it also...just incase that corvette has a surprise for me....

thanks,
space (I need help)

Remember that this would be 30% in an ideal scenario where your intercooler can remove ALL of the heat from compression. That is not just 100% efficient compression, but chilling it down to the same as the ambient air an NA car would ingest.

Also you have to take 30% of the power an 8:1 compression engine makes, not the stock 944NA compression of 9.7:1. So while the 944NA may make 147bhp (125 rwhp), putting 8:1 pistons in it may reduce power down to ...135bhp (115rwhp). Then you can take an ideal +30% increase of that for 176bhp (150rwhp).
