over $500 in damage you should have insisted the police pull prints off the keg. If that doesnt do it the girls homeowners insurance should take care of the damage. There keg, your car, off of there deck. If they rent the owner of the place would rather pay for the damage than to risk a law suit.

Thatn may be something there, Travis. I think that the owners/renters of the keg/house would be liable.

That's a good point. In california at least you are now required to plop down a drivers license that the store loggs into their books or database and they put a sticker on the keg with a unique #. So.....when underage kids get caught drinking...or some fool throws a keg out the window....a responsible party can be tracked down.

We know the keg belongs to one of the girls that lives at that house. I guess he could look into talking with the owner of the place, but I don't think that is right.

If someone took my keg off my deck and tossed it on a car, I do not think I should be liable. I would be, by law, but that is not right to me. The knucklehead who did it is the one that should be gone after.

His insurance will cover it, minus decuct, and that is what they are there for.

The point is, I do not comprehend why someone felt the need to do it.

Unfortunately, there are ******** everywhere.

There are 2 "petty crimes" that REALLY **** me off- theft and vandalism. Both are examples of worthless, lazy people that have no respect for other people's hard earned property because they have never earned anything for themselves. I say chop their fingers off and THEN throw them in jail.

What the hell's wrong with people? The simple answer is that some of them are ********.

I posted here a few months ago that my car was keyed down to the metal all along the left side. This happened when I was not "show" parked in any way. Not using two spots, not sideways, backed in, nothing. In other words, none of the things that usually enrage an imbecile to act.

No, my car was freshly washed and waxed and parked in an ordinary single spot in the grocery store lot between two cars - unusual for me. I usually park in Outer Mongolia. I can only assume that someone can't stand that someone else (me) takes enough pride in his old car to keep it shining like new. This somehow is a negative reflection on their pathetic lives. Who the "F" knows.. -

Thats what its there for and if you put in a claim the homeowners insurance will cover his diductable. If you do that and they do catch the person who did it the insurance company will press charges/case against him to try to recover there money.

I went to a frat party at FIT once and they were playing keg toss..... but it was an empty one. They were getting a good 30ft out of the empty one. We were still drinking out of the other full one.

This kind of crap is pretty much why I bought the Subie.. it's an innocous beater that doesn't arouse jealousy. I doubt it's totally immune from vandalism or break-ins, but it's a _lot_ less of a target. Kind of sucks to drive it instead of the 968, but I literally can park it anywhere and walk away without worrying; if it gets zapped, I won't feel nearly as bad.

But yes, I hate giving in to the anonoymous, faceless bastards.

Jim, hoping the keg-tosser goes over the railing next time....

I have never had any car I own vandalised. I used to park my 944 @ school with the windows down and the roof off every day it wasn't raining. People kept breaking into cars, keying cars, breaking/bending wipers/antennas, etc. Nobody ever messed w/my car through 3 years of highschool... Until last week when it was broken into and stereo/sub stolen out of it, and some light vandalism on the outside. Should have not left the sub plainly visible. I feel kind of stupid for it now. I got the car screened for fingerprints, and there's a few detectives working the case now. I gave them pictures/serial #s, accurate descriptions, etc. something might turn out of it, but I have doubts...

What I meant to start talking about initially was the fact that I think some of these events maybe just plain bad luck, some maybe provocated. I bet if the faceplate was off my stereo, and the sub wasn't exposed, they would not have broken into/vandalised it.
