Default Anyone Have a Factory 968 Turbo S?

Prior to just a few minutes ago, I had no idea that Porsche built such a car. I can't seem to find very much info on them, aside from what I read in the following links. The links are controversial as far as what power plant was under the hood. But I'm going to assume it was a turbocharged variant of the 3.0L DOHC 32V (8 valves per cylinder, could that be right?!) engine, rather than a 2.5L SOHC 8V.

So did any come to the United States, or were they all Euro cars? Any thoughts on what one might trade hands at?

Not sure about the 968 Turbo S's but I believe two out of four 968 Turbo RS's are in the US. Follow this thread for what we know on Rennlist: https://rennlist.com/forums/924-931-...8-turbo-s.html
and this website is good info on the RS's
http://968turbo.homestead.com/

Some of the regular S's did make to North America (including Canada) -- not sure how many, but we've heard stories in the past.

They made 14, all had 305hp and massive torque, none were offically imported. A blood orange one is for sale in Germany for 99,000 euro's.

Thats correct you have to start fresh with a somewhat decent 968! If your going to go to the trouble find one with nice Koni suspension, 17" wheels and LSD already there! Gives you a huge head start!

There are people who have done it right, and people who have done it wrong. I've seen it both ways.

Well, I did say 305hp and 'massive' torque, didn't I?

Nice is a relative term. What might be nice to one individual could be junk to another. It all depends what one's standards are.
