My saga continues... I painted my neighbor's 944 Turbo
Well folks, it's been a little while since I've contributed anything of substance to this forum... my apologies.
So, I thought I'd compile a little update.
Some of you may have read about the beginning of my p-car saga. If not (and you're REALLY bored), here's the link... https://rennlist.com/forums/924-931-...944-turbo.html
In December, I took the car to VIR, and it rained...
In the rain, I had a "moment"...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dumZEYWsa8o
But, I was able to run the next day, albeit with a fair amount of racer's tape, and a newly wrinkled passenger's quarterpanel (to match the driver's)...
So over the winter, it was time to make a change!
We used the roller brush technique. This is what we did instead of watching the Super Bowl!
Some members of the family were obsessive about quality...
It took a lot of coats before things started to look decent...
Not exactly factory gloss, but hey, it's a track car...
Now, those of you with a discerning eye may have noticed that I toyed with a little orange paint. So why'd I choose red? I had a plan.
You may like it, you may hate it... but I doubt you'll ever forget it...
