Travis, it is probably on the other board somewhere, but what did you do to compensate for the (loss of) brake booster? How is pedal feel?

It's a bit spendy but affords a no compromise conversion. Works like the setup in the 964. I've driven a lot of these swaps and I highly recommend boosted brakes.

Alex- I'm using an electric booster from http://www.abspowerbrake.com/

DVC,
My wife has a "vacation" coming up mid - April.
I'm thinking a trip to Daytona, and drive Al's car. He is running the same setup.
(I may have some 948 work to do while I'm there, but WTH?)

Tilton 72-610 Balance Bar = $159 @ CarSop, Inc.
Steel Mounting Bracket = Fab yourself for close to Nada, or ~$200 with the pushrod
Wilwood master cylinders are ~$79 each
___________
Total = $532 +/-
But, this will still be a Manual brake system. Great for the track, but could be tiring on the street.

NA front calipers are worthless on the rear of any 944 arm because the calipers on the front have 76mm ears and the rears are 94mm.
A bolt-on upgrade would be turbo fronts on the rears with washer/shims OR soon to be released RX7 4x36 calipers with Turbo rear rotors. You'll need 87-up Turbo rear 100mm offset rotors.

I recommend keeping an eye on the corvette forum and LS1Tech classifieds. Also an online source that searches wrecking yards.
Sounds like a great vacation Greg!
