The manual is an incredible resource for our hobby. It's definitely the most important tool in your swap arsenal. I wish it was around when I was building my car, but at least I'll have it for the next build. You can get more details on the manual here:

Beautiful pictures! Not a fan of the Corvette covers but I suppose it has its novelty.

Very cool. Did I miss when you did a turbo nose swap? EDIT: Maybe I didn't, but two nearly identical cars is sorta trippy!

Just bought one, time to get serious. Awaiting activation over at 944hybrids (user name subterfuge). You might want to let the guy who runs the page that the link on the buy now button is not working, I had to go into the code to get to the paypal link.

If there is any car deserving of the cover, it is yours.

Alex, you should be approved now.
I have heard the PayPal link was not always working, but it works for me.
Maybe Google is blocking it? Dunno. Your Manual ships tomorrow AM Alex...

This one always works - http://www.944v8s.com/Products.html (5th item down)

What I want to know is...
Where are the RUF wheels, man? Were they on the 1st car?
Don't get me wrong, still a very nice work.

Thanks Travis, Alex, and the 100+ others who have invested in the future of the 944 V8 Conversion.

DVC, that hood shot is wickedly cool.

DVC,

super congratulations with your awesome car...

i think your engine when it's not sporting the vette covers,

is the most astonishing/clean/natural automotive sight that i have ever seen.

i was at an intersection next to a vette the other day. that thangg just calmly pulled forward with the driver barely gassing the throttle.

the real problem with my 968, is, it just doesn't pull unless you wind up the motor and work the gears...

with my 118-125 db exhaust, it's rather an obnoxious process compared to the vette.

can't wait to do mine.

Thanks for the compliments guys!

It's a Momo Porsche Design, designed by FA Porsche (unfortunately no longer made). The dash and 968 door panels are covered in genuine alcantara.

Very cool. Did I miss when you did a turbo nose swap?
Thanks. Yes, same car but I recently swapped to the 951 body parts.

Yeah, the Vette covers were just a novelty and not on there now. These pics are a bit old, as I've redesigned the intake and a few other things.

I appreciate the kind words gents

WOW! Didn't know you could squeeze an LS motor under the hood of a 944. Makes me want one even more now!!!
With the LSx motor, you don't need to push the gas much to go. Even less with my 418 LS3 stroker in my 08 Corvette. Now, I know what I will do if the 944 motor ever goes, once I own one. Gonna look at a 1986 944 tomorrow.

BTW...you can get fuel rail covers that do not have Corvette on them. Would be sweet to have a smooth pair with Porsche painted on them.

If you know your swapped car is gonna be a track rat there are a few nice cams that move the powerband up, a little more porsche like. With the right cam selection imagine how the power is in a 944 then triple the the horse power and torque.

I haven't tracked my Corvette on a road course, but I have friends that do and have a great time with them. The motors are great for both drag racing and road courses. They run Sebring, Homestead and Palm Beach International in them. They hang right with the 911 turbos out on the track.

Don't know how a 944 would do with the extra weight on the nose, OP would need to fill you in on that.
