Yup, lots of engine fires can be traced back to these bolts. Chris White has suggested that studs be used in place of the bolts so that the stud can be loctited in place. That sounds like a good idea to me.

So, can the D-style retainer locks be done on nuts? If so, My suggestion would be a set of stud with D-style retainers locks for the nuts . This would allow for quick removal. Some aftermarket fuel rails only have two bolts making this product or loctite almost required.

They do have nut kits available, so if guys have already installed studs that would be an option. I don't think the style of retainer is dependent on bolt or nut. It sounds like it would be a good idea to have three options available:
- standard Stage8 nut kit, nuts only (for guys that have already installed studs)
- Stage8 nut kit bundled with studs (for guys that want to convert to studs)
- standard Stage8 bolt kit (for guys that don't want to convert to studs)

I discussed this with Stage8 today, and they are definitely game (of course). I need to research PET to make sure I know all of the permutations (if any) on the bolt sizes and quantities across the various models. I'll have them send me some samples along with the 928 and 911 CV bolt samples that are in the works. Stay tuned!

I just found the link to this group buy on 944spec.org. Is it too late to be a part of it?
I would love to get one set.

Nope, not too late. Send me a PM with your email address, your shipping info, and let me know how many sets you would like, and also if you would like any of the extras (pricing for those is here: https://rennlist.com/forums/7244795-post86.html)

We're past the halfway mark in paid invoices (which is fantastic!!!, thanks!), I've been keeping the list updated. Everyone should have received their invoices. If you haven't gotten your invoice, send me a PM or email.

I still need email address and shipping info for johnjohn and Skip Wolfe...

As a reminder, the cutoff for sending payment is midnight EST this coming Friday, 30 Jan 2010. Any orders that remain unpaid at that time will be removed from the group buy.
