Can we get other bolts also - especially the bolt that requires safety wire on the Transaxle Shift linkage? That one is also a PITA.

Thanks, Ed.

Absolutely...however, for that one, I'm trying to visualize, is there an abutment for the retainer to lock against? I'll have to check some illustrations...

...but I would be more than happy to coordinate commissioning any other problematic fasteners. What actually got me started down this path was looking at alternatives for header bolts and turbo stud kits, particularly for the 931 (which has a few notorious bolts that always back out). So whatever you guys need, just let me know, and I'll happily work on it. For some of the 2.5L stuff, I may need help finding donor parts for test fitment, but that's a small hurdle.

A set of four bolts that can do a lot of damage if they back out are the fuel rail bolts.

Brian, is this a documented problem, and on which applications? All of them, or is it isolated to a specific iteration (2.5 / 2.7 / 3.0)?

Wow, I shouldn't post when buzzed. I looked at my spare trans today, and I'm way off base in my previous post. There's almost as much thread engagement in the CV bolts as my wheel lugs.

I'll happily be a guiney pig in the strength of these Stage8 bolts though.

I auto-x mostly, and during my timed runs commenly launch pretty hard on hot R-comps.

Cheers,
Chris

I've now received multiple inquiries on the IMI starters. Unfortunately, I'm only allowed one group buy per month on Rennlist, so I can't do another IMI group buy concurrently.

However, anybody in this group buy that is interested in a starter, I can offer them at 10% off MSRP, and these would be direct shipped from IMI, which is about another $10 savings over the shipping charges during the group buy. So $220 for the starter + $10 domestic shipping (international will be more, of course). If anybody is interested, just send me a PM, and I'll include it on your invoice.

MAJOR UPDATE
Ok, finally got shipping info and pricing on the extras.

Shipping
Upon receipt of the bulk order, I will be shipping all orders using USPS priority mail flat rate boxes. Unless you're ordering other items from me at the same time, up to 3 sets of bolts will fit into the small flat rate box, which is $4.95 to the US, $13.45 to Australia and Europe, and $11.45 to Canada. In addition, I will be adding a small $1.00 flat charge to each order to cover the bulk shipment from Stage8 to me (1600+ bolts gotta weigh a fair amount)! So that covers shipping. If you do NOT want your package shipped via USPS, please send me an email or PM with the preferred courier service so I can quote your shipping accordingly.

Extra Bolts, Retainers & Clips
I've worked with Stage8 to come up with these extras in 6-count packages. Pricing as follows:
  • BoltPak, 6 pieces: $24.30 per pak
  • RetainerPak, 6 pieces: $2.70 per pak
  • ClipPak, 6 pieces: $2.70 per pak
If you would like any extras included with your order, send me a PM or email message with your requested quantity.

Invoicing & Payment Policy
I will be commencing invoicing this afternoon. Please remit payment as promptly as possible. I will leave the payment window open through midnight EST Friday 29 Jan 2010. This gives everyone 1 week to remit payment. Any committed orders not paid at that time will be removed from the group buy.

Production & Shipments
Stage8 is requiring a deposit from me before they'll begin production of a run this large. This is why your prompt payments will be appreciated by all. My intent is to place the order with Stage8 by next Friday, sooner if all the payments are in before then. Once I place the order, they need about a week to produce the kits. Then shipping time to me, so I would expect to see product at my door sometime during the 2nd week of February. At that point, I will get started on repackaging and shipping them out. I will be shipping off of the PayPal invoices, which should send you a notification of your tracking number. I have everyone's address now (except for a couple), but you could do me a HUGE favor by verifying that your shipping address is correct in PayPal. A few of you have sent me alternate shipping instructions, which I've noted, so no worries there.

Arominus, Lanny
Duly noted and added to the list! Cutoff isn't until Midnight tonight...and I'm a really nice guy, so I could probably be persuaded to add any stragglers even into next week...but gotta put a line in the sand somewhere

Spread the word...the price is never going to be better than this, I can tell you that!

I'm in for a full set for my Spec-944 (d series). Also the extra 6 bolts / retainers / clips (66062 zip). I'll PM you my email address for invoicing purposes.
