Question Headlights

I´m looking for information from anyone who has installed headlights like <a href="http://www.marsmonkey.com/images/ImagineAuto/091002/lowres/pages/P9100010.html" target="_blank">this</a>.

Are they easy to install, is the performance about the same as the pop-ups?

BTW, the whole reason for me for these ones is to gain about 5 kilometers in top speed. :-)

They came on the 924 Carrera GTS. They are not as good as the pop ups, and there is not a good kit for them.

Would it be possible to put in more powerful lights in them, anyone who knows the inner dimensions?

That car belongs to Steve K at Imagine auto (www.imagineauto.com) I saw it up close at a PCA thing in Kansas City.

First-the car is stunning-everything is right.

Secoond, from listening to Steve-it was no easy task. It took him a lot of time, and this from a guy that really knows these cars. Drop him a line at the site, he'll reply and give you the real scoop.

Adrian,
Since you do not live in the US I imagine that you have seen the real deal up close. That being said, you will also realize that NONE of the GTs were put together very well. The parts are very rare and hard to get and fit fine thank you. The front fenders from the factory were glass as well as the buckets. My common saying is they fit like socks on a rooster. The picture here is of a real one. Look closely, the fenders don't match nor fit. Nor the headlight bucket. This is a car that is out of Europe and currently for sale that is a stunning example of the "real" deal.

hi ya,

the red one looks ok to me, though you'd nned to really look closely.

The different angle shows it differently. The left h/light doesnt look as "skewy", right one looks better.

But close up the left one looks "skew" only cos of how the panals come togeteher ?

Not the actual pop up, top&bottom looks fine left and rght there are quite big gap's.

At a meet ppl will take a close lose look at ya car, when selling even closer,{that would look appear as if accident damage]

unless I got a better fit than that, I wouldnt do it, even if it ment fabricating something up, to disguise it better.

for sure the clear cover "does" look better, but it's still to "askew" for my taste.

sorry if my reply came over a bit harsh
