This is an excuse as good as any to post my engine bay! It's all coming back apart, the engine is being pulled and I'll be doing a considerable amount of detailing to the entire engine bay (including new paint and more zinc plating).

Wow Curt - very clean! I like that finish on the cam tower too.

I have a k26/6 lying around - thought it would be cool to mount it on it's mount and then hook all the shiny zinc pipes up (water and oil) plus the steering knuckle heat shield and then take some pics. Sort of an iron lung Of course then I noticed the little braces on the back of the cool side of the turbo - guess I need to get a set of those zinced!

Thanks Josh - I couldn't have done it without you! Expect to get more requests from me for more parts as I go through the car. My next batch of plating that I'm shipping out will be three hundred 6mm bolts of various lengths and two hundred washers. I hope to never run out of 6mm hardware again!

In my next batch I want to send off the upper strut mounts to get plated again. I damaged the finish on them when I tried to use acid to clean my intake. Can they be taken apart, or are they plated as a unit? These are the ones I got from you when I bought the M030 struts/shocks - they looked perfect until I messed them up

Thanks Charles. It's definitely a work in progress. I can't wait until I get the motor out and some fresh paint in there.

That's a Turbosmart dual-port adjustable bypass/blowoff valve. Part number FG-BOV-KTDP25. I have it in full-bypass mode right now.

Thanks Curt!

Sorry guys for the hijacking...

BTW, I bought a few things from Josh. I will take a picture of the engine once it's rebuilted and before we put it back in the car. Should be good looking and STRONG!
