Default Got some shiny stuff back from the zinc guy - pics!

That grouping of stuff in the first couple pics was $90 to do and took about 4 days. Does anyone know what the little triangle piece is off to the left in the first three pics?

Wow Josh, looks beautiful.

Too bad you don't live near me, a place near my home does anything Yellow Zinc (up to 26 feet long and 12 feet wide) for a $30 flat rate up to 100lbs.

Yes, Josh sells a lot of his stuff on ebay. I've had a chance to actually meet up with him a few times in GA. Great guy.

It's a powder coating à la Ferrari, simply. Don't ask me how they do it, though. My only concern is will it stay clean... But since my car is a track only beater, that should not be a problem.

a closer look at the finish + intake manifold.

The entire body is zinc coated! Just not the yellow variety and you need to chemically strip the paint to see it. I have not seen this in person, but I've been told by someone that I trust, that if the paint is stripped, you can actually see spangle in the galvanizing. (spangle is the pattern you see on galvanized steel trash cans)
