But of course there is a shortage of dry sump 944 pans in the country when I need one. Dave from CEP sold us his original prototype pan to get us going.
Do you have pictures of dry sump install?
Could you describe in more detail how the system is set up?

Tere Joonas,

check out Lindsey Racing pages. There's good pictures & details of their dry sump system.

Kiitos

It would be interesting to see pictures of oil cooler and other setup details.

That's what I was wondering as well. It looks like the original rubber spoiler with a CF top cap, then the CF hoop spoiler is attached to that. In the picture showing the car from the rear, you can see the top cap overhangs the original spoiler. I likee!

Also wondering about the rear diffuser. Is this a custom or universal piece from somewhere?

Thanks for all the comments

The GTR badge is not my call and remember this car was built for a 14 year old.
There are a few things I would change if was my personal car. But overall I think it turned out awesome.
I can't wait to build the turbo motor!

But isn't that the cool part of building a custom car , you build it how YOU like it .

The pump on the left side of the engine is the dry sump pump. The bracket was supplied by CEP and is a nice piece, but it is really just a A/C delete bracket with mounting holes for the pump. we also use a Nissan alternator which is smaller and lighter.

I'll post some interior shots later

Here are some pictures of Mikes (the dad) other cars

935 Blue Coral (pretty famous racecar)
996tt custom build with 3.8 liter insane!

In my opinion, Jagermeister and motorsports is a very 80's/retro/old school thing. Too much of this car doesn't match those concepts. Particularly - wheels, evo wing with carbon stuff, wire mesh in the back, funky looking diffuser. It has to match the styles of Jagermeister 935s and 962

Dont get me wrong, it's a nice car, but I dont think it's raw enough for the Jagermeister theme.

just my 2 cents/constructive criticism

Maybe the owner will realize these mistakes in two or three years -- when he's old enough to drive it!

Yeah, it basically looks like a 14 year old's version of a jagermeister 944.

I think I liked it better before it was painted actually. Some of it just screams fake (wing sitting on top of the original spoiler.) To each their own, but I'd rather see a lemans wing on the back.

drooool.....
this is almost precisely what i want to do with my 948 in the next couple of years, minus the jagermeister decals and the carbon fiber (i want all wings etc painted to match so they really need to be fiberglass).

love the deep lips on the wheels under the WIDE fenders...what's the extension on those fenders? 3 inches?

gahh...so awesome!

I've seen this car personally, throughout the build and it is an impressive piece of machinery. It's been the talk of our local Porsche guys since it was originally "unveiled" in October. The guys at Smith Motorworks, that built it are not only great guys but do great work.

If he plans on HSR track time you best be talking him into either switching the tank to a newer plastic tank or going with a fuel cell. Unless they've changed the rules, HSR won't allow steel tanks.

One reason I put in the fuel cell.
