im pretty sure i might be the first to do a fully shaved / tucked bay

the electrical harness is hidden under the framerail... power steering is gone, coolant bottle is gone, coil is moved. there are still a few more things that will be added to the bay before its done but nothing big.

i just took inventory of the wires. the main harness at the firewall needs to be organized down like brett's. then there's the additional harness to the coolant sensor, oil pressure sender, TPS, AFM. i can't see how to hide that. also the alternator starter harness can be angled so it goes directly down, possibly underneath the driver side motor mount. then there's the flipup lights. which u can try to tuck but u'll need to extend the wires a lil.

i'm excited to see brett's engine bay when it's all done heh. it's gonna be HOTTT.

yeah, no f'in way you get it that clean on a 951. There's wires all over the place...your engine bay looks like you can fit an elephant in there compared to a 951.

hmm i wonder if anyone makes prebent vacuum hose for going from the intake mani port to the brake booster. cause that'd make it look pretty nice.

i bet i could make a 951 look just as cleaned out... who wants to donate one?

also fyi, i relocated the clutch line down under the brake booster tonight so it doesnt run along the firewall anymore

both still looking good.
i was thinking about this kind of stuff sunday, how to clean up the engine bay...with all my coil related work i realized that it looked like alot of space without the coil there lol. i will be removing my AOS and replacing it with a smaller system so that should help too. i will also be doing some vacuum line cleanup eventually.

removing the headlight motor and bar would do alot too... i think another neat thing would be removing the stock airbox and running a length of tube between the AFM and the first section of snorkel (so it still picks up in the fender) and have a filter in that tube, that would open up alot of room alongside the engine and save a pound or two.

also running your spark plug wires under the manifold might help too

i was also planning on running the spark plug wires under the manifold...

im going to move my coil to the area where the battery used to be located. i just need to find/make a long coil wire to go from the coil to the distributor

ooo spark wires under IM...good idea.

i'll take a pic of mine tonite.

mark, there's a real easy way to clean up...everything. just put a wire wheel on the bench grinder heh. it'll take all the age and corrosion off. then hit it up with some rustoleum primer and enamel paint .
