Speaking of ricers, you guys should see these two losers in my town. They both own identical silver Dodge Neons with tacky blue flame decals running down the sides! Of course, they both have the mandatory racing stickers and giant coffee can exhausts. They must be twins or something b/c they're always together. (strength in numbers?) Yeah, these posers are real cool when they leave the mall parking lot while squealing their tires. Ooooooh, am I impressed or what??!! I hate ricers, I really do...

I've never understood the concept behind throwing a ridiculous looking rear wing on a 100HP FRONT WHEEL DRIVE car...whats the point? Here in DC, all I ever see are the Honda Civics with the awful sounding exhaust and the sickening body kit. They always want to race stoplight to stoplight. I never do. Let them look like jackasses in their rice machines...
Whats even worse if you ask me is the Dodge/Plymouth Neon Ford Focus trend. These fools throw the rims, spoliers, graphics and sound systems into these COMMUTER cars and think they are the friggin Ferrari's. Makes me want to puke.

I'm not talking about a real Type R Integra I'm talking about the morons who put the Type R sticker and an exaust can on and act like it's got 500 hp or some crap.
Besides real Type R Integras are more rare than my S2...and if it was FWD I wouldn't get in the seat over 80 mph anyways.

Don't lump the Neon in with the Focus. The Focus does look crap if it isn't the hatch but it is one of the world's current best handling cars - no really! They stick like sh*t to a blanket.
The Neon is a dog turd and bolting on body kits and wheels is just polishing it.

You think I don't know that? The worst thing is that a bunch of people ruined perfectly good Intega Type R's.

some of the rice rockets are plenty fast. I also own a 2001 gt mustang w/ cold air induction. A couple of the honda's have given me a run for my money. As far as my Porsche goes though, I just grin and drive off because I know as well as they do that my 944 looks better and can take a corner faster than any ground pounder ever thought. But I have taken a few!!!!! And explained what was really sad besides getting beat is that I paid less for my car than they paid for just the rims!!

Yeah, Honda has done a great job with the Type R, and they really sweat the details. How many production cars have the luxury of hand-polished ports? (and thin-stem, lightweight valves to further take advantage of the increased flow?). When they went to those 5-lug wheels (with a bigger bolt circle), they also increased the rear bearing span by 10 mm just for good measure. Like Porsche, they look at the total performance envelope and upgrade all parts to work well at the new, higher level.

i will just say right now that i love hondas, as much as i do porsche (i think drag racing an ITR is a crime that should be severely punished).
honda & porsche are, and have for several years, been my favorite marques.
and i can happily say that all of the cars titled in my name are either honda or porsche
the CRX & integra are the project (once the porsche's engine is finished being assembled and the rust is taken care of).
i plan on rebuilding and building the D16A1 in the integra to drop into the CRX
the result will be an 1800-1900 lbs go-kart powered by ~160HP at the crank (when all the engine mods are done.. that is my HP target)
if anyone would like info about any civic/integra based vehicle (especially in terms of engine technology) feel free to send me a private message. i know all kinds of factoids like the fact that the peak piston speed in the ITR's B18C5 is higher than any of honda's race engines (including CART/F1) due to the short rod and fairly long stroke (1.58 rod stroke ratio and an 81mm stroke). the pistons are coated with a special low-friction molybdenum coating to reduce friction losses.

Actually a GSR will smoke a 944 n/a top end, as my friend has one and we've messed around quite a bit. I smoke him off the line and pull on him till about 75, then he just barely pulls ahead.
He's only got intake/headers/exhaust though too so we're both basically stock.

A friend of mine who owned a 1994 968 Coupe in Orange County, California (yes like the movie
