depends on the mr2, is it turbo or n/a? what year? My friend has a 91 n/a and I murdered him. They only have 130 horsepower and weigh 2800lbs, a bit more than my n/a.

Not sure about the Del Sol, but the ones that I've seen were very slow on the track.

Hey sort of off topic sorry! How about an 83 n/a vs. a 95 grand prix with intake? I think it could take him off the line, it's an automatic. I have a K&N if it matters, hope to get throttle response cam soon. Thanks!

You realize that a throttle response cam adds 0 HP, right? It will do nothing for performance, just changes the feel of the car.

Watch out for that 95 Pontiac. He could have cross-fire with ohv technology and that incredibly complex ground pounding rear suspension technology.

All I can say is look out for ricemobiles, I know of a number of them that get insurance for only 1 month to get there tags on the car legally then don't pay any more. This allows them to spend more money on stickers, goddy rims, and extremely oversized exhaust tips. Sorry for the mini rant. As far as quickness (meaning 1/8 or 1/4 mile times what ricer in there right mind thinks of more than a straight line or left hand turns in a track). I'm sorry to say a good majority of newer cars including sedans are quicker, but the 944 can cruise over 100mph all day long with out killing the driver and no damage to the car. It also will fly through turns.

It really stinks here that the police are cracking down on racing, so the new motto is "Let's take it to the track!"

Del sol v-tec will probably beat you. He's got 160 HP, 25xx pounds, and higher gearing. Don't f with the B series motors...my friend is building a hybrid motor with a B16 head (shaved, ported, polished, cam, etc...BTW, B16 which the del sol has is almost identical to the type R motor, minus a couple hundred CC's of displacement, slightly different cam, and softer valve springs), LS (non-v-tec 1.8L ) block w/GSR pistons, custom ecu, lightened flywheel, etc. With the couple of bolt ons his car has already he should be putting out over 220 HP to the flywheel or 190ish to the wheels. He'll probably beat me to 40 in my 951, but after the turbo hits and I'm in 2nd gear, its all over. He would tear most people on the street a new ******* though once he gets it together (probably next week...can't wait to take it for a ride).

If you are looking to see if the 944 NA will beat a Del Sol (Del Slow), Civic Si, or Integra GSR in a race....yes it will And thats a freeway race in excess of 100 mph. I have proven for a fact that with an intake and exhaust, a VTEC motor can be beat after 100 mph by a 944 NA. Although I am retired from freeway racing, I request ya'll not to challenge any rice rockets for the safety of others on the freeway...believe me our cars have nothing to prove against rice rockets in the high end because yes we will win, unless their cars have more mods on them other than intake and exhaust and believe me, there are some a$$holes out there that will lie about whats on their car just to get them to believe that car is faster than you....

Always remember this, Why does Germany Have Autobauhns and why don't Porsche's drag race...

Everybody knows rice rockets don't have much after 100, although they claim they can get to like 150..yeah right. Hell unless they modify their ECU aren't they capped at like 115 anyways?

When their cars are screaming to the end around 120 or so Porsches are still getting warmed up. And I really would not want to be in a Civic or Integra going 100 mph..I hate FWD...
