Funny this surfaced. I just got beat by a VW on wednesday night. I was taking a nice sweeper, before i got into the turn i asked she who must be obeyed how much fun I could have. she said I could have some fun since it was my birthday, even though she didnt feel well.

she wasnt feeling well but was feeling fine enought to go to a concert. it was cold out, but not cold enough for a heavy jacket. i was tired, but not tired enough to not have fun.

so there i am MMOB on this left hand sweeper when I hear a noise coming in through the crack in the sunroof. the sunroof wasnt cracked, it was cracked open a little bit. not open enought to let a lot of air in, but open enough to let some air in.

so i hear this noise on my left and ask she who must be obeyed if there is a car on my right. she says yes, i decide to step on the gas a little, but was in fourth in the NA. if i was in the 951 and had the turbo spooling the car on my right may have gotten a schooling. next thing ya know i see him by my front fender.

i knew the road was about to merge from two to one lane so i eased off the gas just a bit, let him pass, then tried to say on his butt for the rest of the turn.

well wouldnt ya know as soon as i gave it gas to stay on his **** she who must be obeyed asks WTF i am doing? "Getting killed by a R32" i tell her. needless to say i was very depressed the rest of the night. i dont know if i was depressed because i got killed, or if i got killed because i am old, or if because i am old i got depressed or if......

I was depressed most of the concert. couldnt believe i got killed. then when Greg Lake came out for the last song and sang see the show with the trans siberian orchestra i forgot about getting killed and the world was OK again.

AMAF, still on this board under another name which I can't not disclose. I do can tell you that he sold the 924 twin turbo & supercharged and bought a 928 and he got still beat by the VW.

I just wanted to make a comment on the negative pressure thing. There is no such thing as negative pressure. You can't have a pressure reading that is negative. Even vaccum is not negative, in repsect to pressure. 3lbs of vaccum is not -3lbs of boost.

You can't have a car with -4 cylinders, can you? Didn't think so.

Whoever made the negative pressure thing is the person I was laughing at!

Sure it wasnt wet but dry? No wait that was whatshername. It must have been the negative pressure i was feeling. it was like a vacuum that i thought was going to explode.

my 1.8t GTI is waaaaay quicker then my 944.

my gti also has an audi tt 225 engine in it, with plenty of extra fun stuff.

but when when it had its stock engine it was way faster

One of our techs at the shop has a 91 VW Golf that he runs a procharger blower on and a VR6. Last run on the dyno was 330fwhp, and the car weighs 2400lbs. He picks on a lot of expensive sports cars, they don't even know what hit them.

about vws, I know a corrado g60 would be faster than a 924S.

would a 16v mk2 gti be faster than a 924S/944 na?
