I probably wouldn't have even considered a 944 if it weren't for Ravi and what he did for Porsche.

I always listen to sitar music while driving..... in fact I dont htink I would "Drive" if I didn't have "sitar music" to listen too damn straight Shaun you are the man!

you know, since I read his latest book, I think that he was influential in the success of the 944 model line. It's really great to know that such interesting people can work in so many feilds and be so great at all of them.

I'm surprised that we dont all have his pic as are avatar. I mean, there wouldn't even be a 968 if it weren't for the guy. Nobody pays n/e hummage to underdog.

does anybody know "why" it was that he slapped the Dhali Lamma? I never heard the whole story?

Mr. Shankar is a celebrated classical sitar player in India. He had a HUGE influence on the Beatles.. he was George Harrison's instructor on the sitar. His picture appears on the "Sgt. Pepper" album. His lovely daughter Norah Jones is the artist of the recent hit "Don't Know Why" [...I didn't call]
