Just 1 car...either a '93 rx-7 R1 with 30 grand in mods or a '97 supra twin turbo with 10-20 grand in mods...if it didn't have to be my daily driver, I would choose the rx-7.

If it has to be a porsche, it will be a 928 GT 6 speed bored and stroked to 6.4 liters with twin turbos (I think 900 HP would be fairly achievable with pump gas on this set up), brakes, suspension, widebody, steamroller wheels in 18" or 19", etc. The only porsches I would probably want over a supra or rx-7 would be much more than $50,000 (993 twin turbo comes to mind).

A used 2001 base Boxter (2.7L) - Artic Silver and add a Supercharger kit, Big Reds and hollow spoke turbo wheels. . .

Yeah, that's what I'd do.

Why?

Newest P car I could buy for the $$ as a Boxster S would put me over budget w/ nothing left to mod with.

The S charger kit will put the car at well over 300 HP, light mid-engined convertable (my wife likes convertables) that would out brake, corner and accellerate my car now. OK maybe not out-accellerate. . .

Let's see...

- A 1988 Turbo S or 1989 Turbo (with the lowest miles possible, last month I saw one with 14,000 miles in MI for sale for $19,000...) w/a custom paint job (done right!) in a darker + "pearlier" stone grey metalic (more metallic than OEM, akin to a gunmetal grey!)
- Completelly rebuilt and modded engine good for at least some 80-95+ more hp than the regular 250hp (has to be a daily driver!)
- 968 6-speed tranny
- Porsche big red ones with biggest cross-drilled rotors possible
- Tuned-out M030 suspension
- 18" Sport Designs (center portion color matched to the car, outer rim still in chrome...) w/some SERIOUS rubber on it
- 968 mirrors, outer door handles, gear ****, inner door panels, and rear hatch w/wing (color matched)
- 968 temperature display (goes where the digital clock is in the 44's) + the hazard button (it's red instead of black...)
- FUBA antenna w/amp + cell phone module
- Clear lenses in turn signals (front bumper) + tailights completelly painted in red (Testors candy-apple red #1605) + fog light space activated
- Iceshark's headlight wiring w/HID system + Euro driving/fog lights
- Perry951's led gauge + dash lighting (in red) or either an indiglo or reverse glow (in red of course!) lighted gauges (if I could find them in red; also I would like gauge face to remain black w/white letters in daytime, but with modern Porsche fonts)
- 12-way power sport seats in (if not included yet) w/a complete leather interior in Savanah Beige + usual areas in black
- Prestige Parts's aluminum look dash parts
- 968CS steering wheel (black w/embossed not colored badge)
- A kick-@$$ CLARION system:
- DXZ925 headunit (think I could get someone to make the lighting red???)
- 7" monitor installed in the passenger side airbag compartment (I don't care for airbags)
- DVD/CD/MP3 changer in trunk
- TV tuner (long trips!)
- Kick-@$$ amps
- Speakers fitted in new (968) door panels + in the rear and other concealed locations)
- OEM mats (black - doesn't get as dirty...)
- 993 flip key w/alarm button programmed to work the security system (system which controls windows, locks, sunroof + trunk, and has motion sensors for when windows are down or roof out)
- SARATOGA roof (bag in trunk) + the original in a bag at home (two bags!)
- Best tinted windows money can buy (one piece in rear!) in very dark grey smoked color
- One touch-down system for rolling down the windows
- A professionaly done hand-painted pearl white double pinstripe (usual location: mid portion of car)(I know the guys that does all the highline cars in S.Fla...)
- Best insurance money can buy!!!!
- Best car cover available...

I feel like I am forgetting something...

You are forgetting:

-3.2 L bored and stroked motor good for 500 reliable HP on pump gas and 600+ on race fuel
-air (T66 or T70 turbo, tial wastegate, big *** BOV, 3.5" intake/intercooler tubing, custom intake manifold, big FMIC, 3.5" exhaust tubing from the turbo back, blah...)
-fuel, spark, and brains (72 lb injectors, custom fuel rail, big fuel pump, braded stainless fuel lines, RR adj. FPR, TEC3 for the brains and spark, greddy profec A for the boost)
-On board PC hooked up to pass. airbag mounted LCD touchscreen so you can change your TEC3 settings on the fly and require a password to start your car
-Entire body done in carbon fiber panels w/ 3" extention widebody so you can fit steamroller 13" rear and 11" front wheels
-dual master cylinder brake upgrade w/ proporting valve of your choice, stainless lines, etc.
-You are going to need lots of gauges (boost, air/fuel, oil pressure, water temp, oil temp, injector duty, big *** tach with a shift light, etc.) and a place to mount them (replace most of the stock gauges except the speedo with autometer stuff)
-coilovers on all 4 corners, MR electronic shocks, stiff springs, huge swaybars, all metal suspension bushings, solid motor and trans mounts, geometry correction package
-I would skip the fakemeout aluminum interior and get real CF dashboard
-I would also skip the 12 way power sport seats and get the 911 GT3 seats
-You are going to want at least a roll bar for that kind of car...maybe a full cage w/o the nascar style door so you won't look like a monkey getting in and out of it...don't forget the harnesses

And for all this stuff you might as well start with a beat up '86 or '87 turbo since everything that makes it an S will end up being replaced anyways...it will leave you more $$$ for mods.

That plus everything mentioned before is what I would do to my 951 if I had probably more than $50000 to dump into it. Anybody else have any additions?
