Default Who is running 9" wide front wheels??

Hi guys,

Those of you running 9" wide front wheels, what is the offset? Any use of spacers? Fender modifications? Also, the offset for an early suspension is preferable, but late works too, I can just subtract 30mm correct?

Anyone using a 255 tire?

I know you're out there

Thanks in advance,
Alex

i run 9's on the front and 10s on the rear with toyo RA1's. both front and rear offset are 23mm as per factory. i had a set of simmons FR17's made for our car. the front does rub a little on the inside on full lock. but on the track i never get near full lock so it doesnt bother me. thats F 255/40/17, R 275/40/17

I run 9's with 275 Hoosier R6's in the front using a 25mm spacer. I also get some rubbing on the inside at close to full lock.

924S fender was replace with fiberglass 944 fender.

924S was early offset right? I assume you are using late offset wheels with the 25mm spacer correct? Just wondering if since you are using 944 fenders the same would work on an early 944.

Yes, early offset steel a-arms with late offset wheels (55mm).

I ran early offset 17x9 CCW's with 255/40's. I would get some slight liner rub on full brake compression on really sharp downhill turns. Other than that they were fine. You will notice more tramlining with 255's for sure but the added grip is great.

Is that on your avatar pic?
Looks like lower ET.

I run ET52 on 9" on the front and it need to be spaced further out. I think a 7mm spacer will make it perfect. I run -4 deg camber though which allows for lower ET.

im running 9x18" on fronts w/ 245/40/18 hoosier- the wheels are actually 50mm but i run 2.5 or more camber up front- should be ok w/ 52mm wheel and less camber. Coilover is almost a must.

Just snapped this crappy photo, wheels are 17x9's late offset with 25mm spacers (early a-arms). Tires are 275/40-17's with camber at -3.5.
