That looks awesome... Why did you have to pull the engine?

Dude, that'll buff right out, no need for stop leak or JB Weld...

Awesome pics, especially the last one with the hole....

Very nice. How many guys did you pass? Looked like at least 10. You don't seem to have the power to run with the others on the straights - but you have the cornering speed.

Oh - tighten that damn mirror...

We used up the JB weld the day before when a lost bolt blew a 2" wide hole through a cam tower. A little JBweld and metal strap and the car ran fine. That car suffered bent valves from a miss shift on Wedensday, but we were able to swap a head. The lost bolt did not come from that work, but is believe came from the rebuild before that. The bolt must have been in there for a long time, but got loose when the tower was removed and replace for the head swap.

Awesome. I wasn't able to watch the race online last weekend. Is there a link somewhere where I can watch it now?

They say a replay will be up on Sept 22 on speedcasttv.com

The speed cast guys said it was the best race of the weekend.

Chris gained 12 spots from the start. 11 on track and 1 due a car being sent to the back for a pass under yellow. Considering we had 34 cars and alot of heated battles only 1 car with driving infraction is pretty darn good. All weekend we ran very clean. Only very minor contact over 4 days and 3 races is not bad consider all that was at stake in this. We stared the event with 34 drivers and started the race with 34 cars. So the only fall out was a one driver who broke on arm in skateboard incident back home before the event even started.

It's nice to see "budget" racers that don't turn into bumper cars. That big, wide track certainly helped. I'm going to the NASA 944 Cup finale at VIR in October. I'll keep my 944 locked up so it doesn't become a parts car!
