Default Price Check on Rear ended S2

1991 Black on black, seller claims rear suspension is unharmed, and hatch has later 968 style spoiler. The car is in great shape other than the severe rear end damage. So any thoughts on what this could bring if parted?

$1k max purchase price. You could recoup two, three, even four times that - maybe more... but it's going to take a lot of "sweat equity" to take everything apart, catalog it, advertise it, store it, package it up and ship it out.

i parted a turbo that was rough, kept the hatch(968), and got around 7k out of it.

A few months ago, I put a $2500 offer on a rolled and very totalled one, albeit with low miles, and was not the high offer. I would expect this one to be worth close to that, depending on mileage. If you decide you are not interested, can you pass on the info on the car?

Umm... You could get a quote on it over the phone, but I'm gonna say that for a rear-ended early 90's non-911 is going to be about 1k. If I though it were worth it, I'd be willing to pay 1.5k TOPS. Doesn't sound like I'd want to though.

Try calling Oklahoma Foreign. They would sell it off for $7K in pieces. Maybe they'll give your $2K.

Aren't S2 engines still worth like $2k by themselves? Depending upon how much you are willing to do the work yourself, it could be worth it. That actually looks like it wouldn't be too hard to fix if you had the body shop/welding experience and a donor car to graft a rear end off of (assuming the frame rails aren't bent up or anything).

When I get pics of the option sticker (if it still exist) from the seller I'll put them up for you. BTW the seller wants 3.2K. Too rich for my blood.

HOLY CRAP. That car got it in the *** BAD... I fortify my 1k limit on that car. As a car, it's not worth more than a grand to me. In pieces... Well, if the guy wanted to make a "fair" amount, he wouldn't be selling it as a whole.

BTW, What are those wheels (The name)? I have those same ones.

How many miles are on it? Value of the parts (in particular drivetrain) also depends on the number of miles. We've seen running high-mileage S2's (in the 180k mile range) trade for $4k in the past couple of years.

I'd love a donor car like that. Sucks being in Canada for anything Porsche.

If the motor has < 100K on it it's worth at least 3K
Let me know if you pass on it I may be interested....
