so yeah... when traveling at a spirited rate and I need the slow to a stop steadily, the steering wheel shakes like a *****. any thoughts on the problem? bad lines?

Brake rotors heating up... I would suggest changing them, goto vented, or even gas slotted.... I chose cross drilled and have absolutely no issues with rotors warping even when "slowing at a steady rate from a spirited rate of travel.."

make sure you get the ones for the right year...

pick your poison, or price point, or desired kit, or whatever you want to go with...
I have heard bad things about the cross drilled rotors breaking on the track due to heat, but have had no issues on the street.. if I had to do it over I would probably use the same kit again... the pads definately make for solid brake feel, and the fluid is top notch... just make sure you get the right year...
Also make sure to check your wheel bearings... make sure they are packed with fresh grease, and installed correctly...

Cementite buildup on the rotors... usually happens after you brake really hard and then sit at a light with the brakes clamped. An imprint of the brake pad on the rotor is the telltale sign. It creates a hot spot on the rotor which will cause the vibration.

no nothing like that, its braking at speeds abouve 60 that this occurs, never in town or at lower speeds. I think the entire underside of the car needs a going through. the car doesnt feel very sure footed at speed or in the corners. the car is "wallowy" and soft feeling. Im gonna replace the lines, bushings, steering rack with manual & tie rods, add a rear sway bar, and uprate the pad material/brand. Also I have some super blue racing fluid Im gonna use instead of stock DOT3

another possibility is that your rear brakes are not working properly, putting more stress on the fronts and making them overheat... which leads to the cementite problem and the vibration.

i was saying thats its not a matter of buildup on the rotors. The rears apear to be fine. It almost feels as if something is loose in the suspension/braking system up front. I know the bushings are probably not helping matters. I never said new pads or fluid would fix it. I said i was going to change the fluid and pads to higher quality stuff while im at it. The fact that i have a manualized PS rack probably adds to the vibration. its more in the pedal then the wheel.... well 50/50
