Default buyer beware: autosport fl/broadfoot racing

Hello

I purchased a race bumper from them, with brake ducts installed, cost me $759.70

I call and do not get an answer, ive called for weeks, emailed them for weeks, tried to contact them through ebay for weeks! and no response.

I had someone else call and they actually got ahold of them, and said something like "they havent made the bumper yet cause they are on vacation and we will refund u"

well...i was ok with that answer...until i have not seen a refund in my acct!

so i talked to my bank and im disputing the charges. and ive opened a case with ebay as well.

its not a small amount to be delaying, nor should it be a problem to reply to an email, a voicemail, or call me back

yes, they have two numbers, two emails...plus an ebay acct.

after a deep investigation, their paypal is not working for some sort of "reason"

they are still working out of 'craigs airfield' in jacksonville florida. which is 3 hours away. I have spoken to the head guy at the air field, and they are still in business and also have some sort of airplane affiliated company there. The guy was kind enough to give me their home address, incase i need to make a 3 hour drive to jacksonville to fill out a police report, or simply knock on their door

i am def going to just stick to lindsey racing when it comes to 944 parts, or others that is more frequently used, such as pelican

Many thanks. I was trying to decide if I was going with these guys or "GT Racing." neither company strikes me as being a pillar of stability, but this certainly narrows my options.

if it was an ebay, then ebay does not deal with "pre-order"

what you see is what you bid on and is what you get

so autosportfl/broadfoot ****ed up

i have contacted ebay, and reported the item as fraudulent (spelling?) haha. because the item is clearly listed as "new in box, ready to ship" and clearly was not.

I faxed out a statement today to my bank, to dispute the charges and i will be calling them back tomorrow to see the progress on it.

i will be listing the appropriate feedback after their 10 days to respond are up.

Ebay, can only do so much as they do not have a handle on my money =/

Damn that's a shame. I really am just about ready to buy one of their widebody kits. Does anyone live anywhere near these guys to go down there for a visit and get a feel for their operation?

I have been in contact via email with Kelli who says that there are perhaps 2 sides to this story. I am not taking sides at all here nor am I trying to inflame the situation. I do understand the frustration of sending money and not receiving goods, and let me tell you for a lot more than $760, so I do sympathise with Spoolinturbo. I just don't want someone else's reputation getting tarnished when they're not here to defend themselves or put across their side of the story.
Contact them yourselves if you have questions.

This place has been shady for quite some time. I've heard of others getting their parts, but it was after 3-4 weeks of the experience you described... no phone, no e-mail, nothing... all appearances of a total scammer, then the part just finally shows up, out of the blue.

Folks....Broadfoot racing has been around for eons. Problem is, the whole they have been around...they have had nothing but negative happenings around them. Before you order something, do a search on here. The negative dealings with these guys goes back many years.

Just an FYI.
