well the car runs great, but troubles w/ the clutch are going to count Alan out this weekend unfortunately. Guess i get to pull the trans and torque tube back out now.

While craigslisting for 'biturbo' as I occasionally do, (?) I came across this.

http://cleveland.craigslist.org/cto/1419377074.html

Of course an american V8 transplant would be in order, maybe you could pay the whole entry fee selling off the hood badges! If you google that model, it sure does not look as advertised.

Somebody please buy it and Crapcan it, it will take all the heat off the 944s!

I know of a Ferrari 400i that needs some serious motor work... but it's still worth more than $500 - even though it's brown.

The Dragon lives! Found out that our new clutch disc was wrong so after pulling the trans etc out and replacing the disc, pressure plate and bellhousing-dont ask- she is all back together. Runs great, need to fix a rattle from the exhaust since we welded in the straight pipe and the power steering is sucking in air somehow and groaning like crazy. Otherwise its all good.

-the Dragon will be on display at the end of the year Porsche Palooza party at Porsche of the Village- November 14th - anyone wanting to attend go to www.ovrpca.org and check out events.

Travis if you bring your Lemons car- i'll bring mine. We'll have a lemons car shootout. We'll see what lap times we can put down w/o all the traffic. I also got a residual value of our car of $25, which will bring our total back to about $500 w/ the engine build.

There's no question we're bringing ours. I was laying down 1:24's with no traffic on snow tires about 3 weeks before the race. I need to email Jay about our value.

I was gonna say "I got $100 on the dragon" and then I remembered Travis telling me how he knows how to melt fake tread wear numbers melt into the sidewalls, so I was gonna say "I got a Benjamin on Trav" and then I remembered that I'd seen Dan drive, so, ....

My money goes uhhhh.

One of them has my car at his house for coming on a year, the other I owe a lot of money to.

If I bet on either, the other one would end up whooping my ***.

Slide coupler back towards trans, not forward towards engine.
