Default My new to me 944

I just bought my first 944 on saturday. Its an '89 with 53000 original miles. Very nice car. I wrapped the dash for the PO/friend about a year ago in blue Alcantara. Next I will do the door tops and shifter boot. I will eventually redo the seats as they are a bit dry. Here are the required photos for the post. This is my 3rd Porsche. I had a 73 914 2.0 that I drove for about two years til everything at once seemd to go wrong with it. I also have a 78 924 that I aquired from a customer. It needs alot of help. Now that I have this 944, the 924 will either sit or go away. The 944 is such a fun car. By the way, I paid $5000 for the car.

Beautiful car! I love the color of the interior and exterior. But whats up with your dash? Did somewhere cover it in some type of suede material?

He covered it from the customer he bought it from.

Is the nose panel dented?

No, There are no dents on the car. A few small scratches and age of paint things but that is it.

The lines of the nose panel seem to follow through, it's just the reflection, or so it looks from here.

I LOVE that color!

Nice car. Tint looks good too. Those rear windows are one of the most difficult to tint. Real bonus.

No glare from the sun with with Alcantara dash. The tinter did comment on how hard the rear glass was to tint. He did it in two pieces, but did a good job.

You do realize that soon you will have MANY requests to cover other 'listers dashes with alcantra...that's a rare and nice example of a 944. The 89's have the bigger engine IIRC.

Congrats!

looks like you have the same interior color as me! If you want to recover anything in leather, Alan Gun leather, "AGLA" is the only place to get that color. I got a shift boot and a steering wheel recover from there.

I'm jealous of the 10-speaker system. Finding the door cards in that color is hard to do!

Cool

WOW! That car is BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a smokin' HOT looking car, particularly with those wheels.

I see the "dent" that the others are referring to, but it is just shadowing from the awesome reflection.

Very nice car! That's a cool color combination also. Good luck with it and enjoy.
