sounds like your fighting with everyone on all the possible reasons it could be missing. I agree with everyone else. user error. if it couldnt have gone anyplace on the ground or in the engine maybe you have a crafty neighbor thats rolling up and stealing your engine oil too throw in his Hyundai. I know thats what i do when im feeling mischievous.

User error or not why so much angst over 1.5qts in 2000 miles? Sounds normal for a 944 driven hard and falls within factory specs of 1.0L/620 miles. My 951 doesn't burn a drop in normal driving but will go through .5 qt on a 400 mile hard fun run.

problem found.

bolt on the bottom of the cam cover way in the back had come loose and was leaking oil onto the 2/3 collector and the head where the #4 header attaches was dark along with the whole passenger side of the engine/BH from #4 header back lol

there were no driveway spots because oil is only at that spot when the motor is running and there is oil pressure, not when it sits. and no smoke out the exhaust because all the drippage would just fall onto the headers and burn off in there and id never know.

bolts tightened and engine cleaned. will check up at next oil change.

oil problem has returned. no oil drip spots whatsoever, nothing in the coolant, yet yesterday i checked the oil level and the stick was dry. i added maybe 2/3 of a qt (all i had here at home) and it got to the bottom of the dipstick. the bolt that i thought was the culprit is tight along with all the others everywhere lol so wheres it all going?

i dont notice any smoke whatsoever while driving or idling in the driveway.

im going to do an oil change later so ill keep track of it after today, hopefully it will stop.

did a search because i did find what seemed like more than normal oil in the j-boot and i found this thread..
https://rennlist.com/forums/924-931-...take-boot.html

advice there was that oil in the intake was commonly because of the AOS seals gone bad. is this true? my AOS seals were done in 2006 along with the rest of the engine, could they have failed so quickly?

I have the Magnaflow too and love it, my brother got his used from craigslist but I wanted a valid warranty so I got it here. Magnaflow Exhaust 15742, or you can try one of the sponsors here on the forum, they are allways having sales/specials. Either way its a great exhaust system, sounds great, and very easy to install.

One quart is usually consumed every 500 to 600 miles.

my oil is going a little faster than that but i drive the stink out of it everywhere i go even around town so i imagine thats where its going. however i have noticed that it seems to be less oil consumption lately.
